Forget sand paper shape tools
From my perspective, shapes pool cue tips to dime or nickel in minutes. Also has a flat file to clean up the previous tip glue and a leather strip to buff the side of the new cue tip after wetting.

Not the same as Summit tip tool
I got this after I changed a tip for a friend and my Summit Ultimate tip tool was loading up and becoming innefficient due to the leather debrie down in the cup. I bought this to more quickly shape the tips initially and use the Summit thereafter. Neither the nickel or the dime side of this tool is the same size as the Summit. It grinds the outside edges down too much. I put an actual dime in the summit and it fit perfectly, no light around at the bottom edge. This tool the dime was kept from going all the way down into the groove by the sides. Same with the nickel side. I think the manufacturer forgot to take the thickness of the sandpaper into consideration when deciding the machined groove size. I will keep this tool for the original shaping only and finish with the summit. On the other hand this tool shaped the tip very quickly with the course paper inside the groove and it seems like it will last fore. The other functions look like they will do a great job and the plastic storage bag that it shipped is very nice and sturdy.

The Last 4 Ever combo is everything it claims to be. It does its job on my resin jump/break tip, on my soft tip of my back-up spare cue, as well as on my hard tip of my Predator playing cue. I also use it to refine the shape of all tips on the lathe after initial shaping from my kiridashi knife. It will be the last shaper I’ll ever need. It performs fine burnishing or grinding down tip to make tip surface the circumference of a nickel or dime. The only thing I would add is that I taped a label on each side of tool reminding me whether its to grind to Nickel or Dime shaped. This is not obvious because I also have a separate burnishing tool that shapes to quarter circumference. If it lasts for ten years? Then, its a Last 4 Ever tool. I will revise my review then.
