About JFlowers Cues

About JFlowers Pool Cues

JFlowers builds this shelf's cues at a 10,000 square meter factory in Tangxia, China, under the name Jiasen Sporting Goods, a company that says it has manufactured and exported cues, cases, and accessories since 2004, with a production team the company describes as 400 workers spread across research, design, and manufacturing. Quarter King's seven JFlowers pool cues split across the Dante 2 (two cosmetic variants), the Rodney Morris Legends (four cosmetic variants), and the one-off Arden Prestige, with prices running from about $400 to about $800. Four of the seven are in stock at the time of writing; the other three, all Rodney Morris Legends variants, are currently out of stock. JFlowers ships North American orders from a distribution center in Jacksonville, Florida, and Quarter King is an authorized dealer for the brand's full cue range. JFlowers also builds a wider catalog of playing cues, break cues, and jump cues on its own site than what Quarter King stocks here; this shelf is a curated selection of the Dante 2, Rodney Morris Legends, and Arden Prestige lines rather than every model JFlowers sells under its own name. JFlowers organizes its own broader playing cue catalog into rising tiers by finish and inlay complexity rather than by performance, from simpler wrapless and single-wood models up through cues with rarer woods, metal inlay, and hand finishing; the three lines on this shelf sit across that spread, from the Dante 2's cleaner two-tone design to the Arden Prestige's cocobolo and abalone inlay work.

Construction, in plain English

Every JFlowers cue on this shelf ships with a stock Moori medium tip, an XTC ferrule, and an extension-ready bumper, and every cue can be ordered at a standard 19 ounce weight or bumped up to 19.5 ounces. Where the cues differ is joint, shaft, and wrap. Six of the seven cues use JFlowers' 3/8-8 Radial joint pin; the Arden Prestige alone uses a Uni-Loc joint. Shaft material splits by line: the Dante 2 ships with a Classic Wood shaft, while the Rodney Morris Legends and Arden Prestige both ship with a carbon fiber shaft, built from what JFlowers calls Aerograde carbon fiber, a material the maker says will not absorb moisture or warp with humidity the way a wood shaft can over time. Wraps range from wrapless painted handles, built for a fast release with nothing between hand and wood, to embossed reptile skin leather and, on the Arden Prestige, a Genius leather wrap paired with a matching cocobolo butt sleeve. The wrap is largely a grip and cosmetic choice rather than a performance one on this shelf, since every cue shares the same tip, ferrule, and bumper regardless of which wrap it ships with. Shoppers who want plain language definitions of joint, ferrule, or wrap can check the glossary.

The JFlowers series and lineup

Series SKUs Shaft Wrap Price Availability
Dante 2 2 Classic Wood Wrapless or Reptile Skin about $400 In stock
Rodney Morris Legends 4 Carbon Fiber Wrapless or Reptile Skin about $470 1 in stock, 3 out of stock
Arden Prestige 1 Carbon Fiber Leather Wrap about $800 In stock

Dante 2

The Dante 2 is a limited edition built around high contrast: black-painted maple with red points traced in white, a cross motif through the sleeve and forearm, and a red widow's-peak butt cap. The straight-line geometry is meant to give the eye a clean reference to aim along, rather than a busy pattern that competes with the shot. Quarter King carries two cosmetic variants at about $400 each, a wrapless painted-handle version and a version wrapped in embossed white lizard leather. Both use the same 3/8-8 Radial joint and Classic Wood shaft, so the choice comes down to grip preference: the wrapless model gives a fast, slick release, while the lizard leather wrap adds a textured, non-slip hold as hands warm up over a session. The wrapless Dante 2 and the white lizard wrap Dante 2 are both in stock.

Rodney Morris Legends

The Rodney Morris Legends cue is JFlowers' tribute to touring professional Rodney Morris, nicknamed "The Rocket" for an explosive break and a fast, committed stroke, and one of the touring players JFlowers lists as a brand ambassador. Quarter King carries four cosmetic variants at about $470 each, split between black and grey bodies, each offered wrapless or with a black lizard-embossed leather wrap. Every variant ships with the same carbon fiber shaft, 3/8-8 Radial joint, and XTC ferrule, so the pick comes down to color and wrap rather than performance. Only the black, no-wrap model is currently in stock; the black lizard wrap, grey lizard wrap, and grey no-wrap variants are out of stock.

Arden Prestige

The Arden Prestige is JFlowers' most ornate cue on this shelf, at about $800. A cocobolo forearm carries extra-long white polymer dagger points outlined in aluminum, with abalone set into octagonal and diamond cartouches down the length of the cue and a matching cocobolo butt sleeve. The handle is wrapped in what JFlowers calls Genius leather, a dense, fine-grained leather chosen for a secure hold without the bulk of a thicker wrap, and a subtle limited-edition overlay marks the forearm. Unlike the rest of this shelf, the Arden Prestige uses a Uni-Loc joint rather than JFlowers' usual 3/8-8 Radial pin, which matters if a shaft swap is ever part of the plan. The Arden Prestige is in stock.

Joint, shaft and compatibility

The 3/8-8 Radial joint is the standard across this shelf, used on the Dante 2 and Rodney Morris Legends lines. The Arden Prestige is the one exception, built on a Uni-Loc joint instead, so the Radial-pinned Crown and Classic shaft upgrades will not thread onto it. Shaft diameter runs 11.80mm, 12.50mm, or 12.90mm across every cue here, and shaft material splits between classic wood on the Dante 2 and carbon fiber on the Rodney Morris Legends and Arden Prestige. JFlowers sells the shaft upgrade at a discount when it is added at the time of a new cue purchase rather than bought separately afterward, which is worth checking before ordering if a low deflection upgrade is already the plan. A buyer who eventually wants a spare or upgraded shaft, including the S.M.O. carbon fiber shaft, which JFlowers offers in a spread of joint pins including Uni-Loc, can browse Quarter King's full shaft selection.

Who JFlowers Pool Cues suits

This shelf suits a player who wants a visually distinctive or name-associated cue built with real materials, a working shaft upgrade path, and a manufacturer warranty, without paying custom cue prices. The Dante 2 suits a player who wants a bold, high contrast look at JFlowers' lower price point, the Rodney Morris Legends suits a player drawn to a touring pro's signature cue with a low deflection carbon fiber shaft, and the Arden Prestige suits a buyer who wants inlay work and finish that reads as a far more expensive custom cue, backed by the longer two year warranty JFlowers applies at $500 and up. Players on the AZBilliards forums generally rate JFlowers well for the money. One reviewer of a similarly built JFlowers playing cue called it well crafted and beautiful, with an obvious determination to make it a very playable cue. Another player, comparing his new JFlowers cue to a Viking he had owned for twenty years, said the inlay work looked four to five times what he paid, though he also flagged a small amount of roll once the cue was assembled, about a sixteenth of an inch, which he attributed to the joint face rather than the wood. A separate, more technical forum thread noted that JFlowers' carbon fiber shafts deflect more than the newest premium low deflection shafts on the market, so a buyer chasing the absolute lowest deflection available should weigh that against the price before ordering.

Warranty and what to know

JFlowers states in its own FAQ that its cues carry a one year warranty of normal use when priced under $500, which covers every cue on this shelf except the Arden Prestige, and two years on cues priced at $500 or more. JFlowers also describes a broader Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects, excluding warpage, abuse, and normal wear on parts like the tip, ferrule, finish, wrap, and bumper. Any initial manufacturing defect needs to be reported within 7 days of receiving and inspecting the cue, and any other defect should be reported as soon as it is found. JFlowers asks buyers to contact customer service with photos before sending a cue back to its Jacksonville, Florida distribution center for evaluation. Quarter King is an authorized JFlowers dealer, so every cue on this shelf carries that coverage from the day it ships.

What JFlowers is known for

JFlowers is a cue brand manufactured by Jiasen Sporting Goods, owned by Dongguan Haosen Sporting Goods Co., Ltd, which the company states holds the JFlowers trademark. Per JFlowers' own site, the factory is a 10,000-square-meter facility in Tangxia, China, operating since 2004 with about 400 artisans producing cues, cue cases, and accessories; North American orders ship from a distribution center in Jacksonville, Florida. JFlowers positions itself explicitly on value — its own FAQ states it accepts a smaller profit margin to keep prices low while entering the US market — and sponsors touring pros including Jayson Shaw, Earl Strickland, and Chris Melling as ambassadors. The lineup spans budget-friendly Affordable Performance cues up through Premium exotic-wood models, plus signature Legends cues honoring specific pros and limited Dante-series cues with lizard-leather wrap options.

What joint does JFlowers use, and which shafts fit?

About 86% of the JFlowers cues we stock use the Radial joint. The joint is what decides shaft fitment — thread and face both have to match, so a shaft cut for a different pin will not thread on no matter how good it is.

Shafts that fit most JFlowers cues

JFlowers technology, in plain English

Carbon Fiber Shaft (S.M.O.)

JFlowers lets buyers select cue weight at order time (standard 19 oz, with a 19.5 oz option), rather than shipping a single fixed weight.

What players say about JFlowers

Consistently praised for

  • Buyers frequently cite JFlowers as a way to get carbon-fiber-shaft performance and inlay-style cosmetics well below what comparable-looking cues cost from established American or European brands.
  • The ability to pick shaft type, tip, pin, and weight at checkout is called out as unusually flexible for a production cue at this price point.
  • The Legends series is popular with fans of the specific honored players (Strickland, Morris, Orcollo) as an affordable way to own a signature-style cue.
  • JFlowers points to independent YouTube reviews rather than only its own marketing, which some buyers see as a sign of confidence in the product.

Common criticisms

  • JFlowers is an import production cue built to a value price point — buyers shouldn't expect the hand-built, small-batch craftsmanship of a custom American cuemaker.
  • The brand is relatively young and sells direct-to-consumer rather than through the traditional retailer network most established cue brands use, so there's less independent, long-term track record to draw on.
  • Warranty terms step down for cues under $500 (1 year vs. 2 years for pricier models), and international customers are responsible for return shipping costs on warranty claims, which can be costly relative to the cue's price.
  • As a china-manufactured budget-to-midrange brand, resale and collector value is largely tied to the specific limited-edition run (like Dante) rather than the brand name generally.
