Recently, I’ve been using the Kamui black and Kamui brown. The Kamui Tip is rated as a 5 because it’s near to ideal and one of the premier tips I’ve ever felt terms of cue action. It holds chalk like it was made for that purpose and wonderful for beginners and professionals. It gives me wonderful a performance on the simplest shaft. It makes a simple shaft feel like it’s worth more than it costs. I also recommended this stick tip to all of my billiard friends (those with simple shafts under 100$ and those with or without a reflection shaft). I let them try it out and after their first try, a few of them are excited about getting their own Kamui tip (mainly the black). The clear, however, makes me feel like the tip is floating off of my shaft which gives a fluid force follow plus a much better gorgeous reverse with a superb stroke. It builds my confidence that make my game much easier even when I have an off day.

Through a single night of use, I see these characteristics. – Really dense, with good coverage – Long lasting – no need to re-chalk after every shot – No chalk residue left on the cue stick ball, even after a break – No chalk residue on my hands (Big Plus!) – Satisfactory pool cue ball control – no noticeable slip or cue tip deflection Overall, I have to say this looks like a good investment. I am a firm believer in having the right tools for the job and I can no say that this is a tool that will always be in my tool kit. If my opinion changes, I will let you know. Oh…, and I suggest you keep the chalk in a Chalker that will force you to put it back in your pocket after every use, or when you leave it on the table and forget about it, it will be gone when you go back to get it.

Decent but not ideal
Overall, I like Kamui tips. They are consistent and pocket superb. They are not exactly what I needed though. I have heard other people complain that they glaze over after a while and I can confirm that they do. This is not a big problem if you keep the tip scuffed. If you don’t though, you might get a miscue at a truly inopportune time.

Inhērited a Brunswick pool table either a carousel of worn out pool cues. No tips. Ordered blindly $80 plus for (4) tips. Did not know how to attach to stick. Called PoolDawg. Amanda gave me instructions and way more info that I was ignorant to understand. I am not a pool player. So. After following Amanda’s instructions I now have more questions. Tips are glued on but overlap stick end. Also, have yet to glue on two other tips because stick ends do not have what Amanda called a ferral– so need to talk again with Amanda!😂 Money well spent.

From my perspective, i am thrilled with Kamui tips. Play better and hold shape longer than any other tip I have tried. Have always played the ‘medium’ which lasted a pretty long time.
