From my perspective, pleasant breaks. Feels natural in your hands. Have not had an opportunity to jump with it yet.

Premier Break/Jump Cue for the Price
Without a doubt, first of all, I would like to thank PoolDawg on kindness, excellent communication and great service that I was provided with right from the first time I have contacted them. I am from Croatia (European Union) – small country for which most of you probably have not heard of until we reached World Cup Final in Russia. Anyway, we have first and second national pool (american pool) league and one snooker national league. Although most people here recognize billiards as a recreation, there are quite a few of us that know pool and/or snooker inside out and threat it as a sport. We have had many great players (the most noticeable – Ivica Putnik). Last year our team won bronze medal at Dynamic Billard European Championships in Veldhoven, beating Austria (Mario He and Albin Ouschan were playing) along the way. So, let’s get to the point – Pure X HXT Break/Jump Cue. I have ordered it by the end of November 2018. I received it in the second week of January 2019. There was a significant delay, but it had nothing to do with PoolDawg. International Shipment option is very solid and it costs only 13 $. Because of the issues with the package I could not have tracked my package, but when I finally received a correct tracking number I was able to see all detailed tracking information. PoolDawg gave me a 25 $ gift certificate due to long delivery – really pleasant gesture. I have been using this stick for abut three weeks and I am delighted. Stick has a lot of energy if you accelerate through the cueball effectively. I like 13,5 mm tip diameter, because I am more accurate, and therefore, more confident on the break. Tip that came with the cue stick is XLG Quad Faced Phenolic and I am satisfied with it – I have not changed it. One thing that I like the most is the grip. It is so soft and feels excellent in hand. Stick characteristics: — shaft: 131 g (4,62 oz) – brighter wood than usual — butt: – air flight: 122 g (4,30 oz) – pleasant design and increased width at the end to get the better grip while jumping; for short jumps – middle part: 103 g (3,63 oz) – nice design; gives you accuracy on long jumps – end part: 171 g (6,03 oz) – nice design, logo and number at the bottom and great grip, as I have previously listed The whole cue stick weighs 527 g (18,60 oz) which suits me (I do not prefer heavy break cues) and I have adapted to it quickly. The balance is good also. BREAK I have broke with this cue at least 30 times in each discipline (8-ball, 9-ball and 10-ball). Balls always spread nicely after the break. If you accelerate through the cueball well, the energy which the cue stick possesses will spread the pack wide open. In 8-ball I have often made a standard ball(s) into the middle pocket. If I have not made one into the middle, the energy on the break would have carried at least one ball to top corner pockets. I would say it turned out to be a dry break on only about 10 % of all breaks – which is satisfying. It took me to get used to breaking 10-ball. But after about 15 breaks I have started to make a standard ball(s) into the middle. Same in this discipline, the energy would spread balls all over the table forcing one in if one in the middle would not have dropped. I found hard to keep the cueball (white ball) in the middle of the table without using cushions (rails). For some reason, it is hard to make the cueball jump several times after the contact and keep it in the middle of the table. So I decided to pocket the cueball slightly lower (slightly below center) to bring it back to the middle of the table off the top cushion. And it worked. I am still going to try the other way in the future. Breaking a 9-ball rack is the best thing about this cue. I do not know what racking type (“upper” or “lower” as we call them) you are using in the USA, but we (EPBF) are using upper (9-ball on the spot) racking including a “Three Point Break Rule”. Anyway, I have consistently been making wing ball. Hardly any break has been dry and I was able to bounce the cueball back to the middle of the table off the side cushion with a little bit of side spin (english) on it. It took me 10 times to pick a spot on 1-ball in terms of where to aim, but it is perfect now. JUMP This is one of the top-notch jump cues I have ever held in my hands. I practice with a friend who is a member of Croatian national pool team for years and he said that it is an excellent jump cue. Some other experienced players down in the local club also say that it jumps effortlessly and that it is one of the premier jump cues they have ever seen… What else do I need to say! You can jump short jumps with ease with only air flight on. For long jump shots put the middle part (power driver) for accuracy and easier control. I have made some jump shots I thought I will never make in my life. It gives you that extra bit of confidence when you snooker (hide) yourself on the next ball or opponent puts you in one. ————- To conclude, for 230 $ this is the premier break/jump cue probably in the world. I have tried Predator BK 2, Predator BK 3, Predator BK Rush, Mezz Power Break II and Mezz Power Break Kai. I have to say – these are better break cues. But then you will have to spend additional 400 $ because you will have to pick up a separate jump cue stick also. So, I strongly endorse buying “Pure X HXT P Break/Jump Cue” if you need an excellent break and jump cue. Finest regards, B. K.

I already had an Action break/ Jump cue which was getting the job done. I recently however, invested in a Pure X break jump cue so that the Action could be dedicated to the table at home. VERY pleased with the Pure X. Thank you, Pooldawg. #longlivepool
