In my experience, decent cue. However, I noticed that the cue stick hit with so much power, that the balls tended to come back together and cluster up. This cue would be excellent for a slow table where the balls just aren’t spreading.

I used it for the first time in my APA league last night. I broke from the high point of the 2nd diamond spot on the right side and almost sank the 8 twice in the center-left pocket. The shorter shaft makes a world of difference and the phenolic tip is a godsend.

I’VE USED SOME HEAVY BREAKING QUES IN MY DAY BUT THIS IS THE BEST I HAVE USED.HEAVILY BUTT WEIGHTED BUT STILL NICELY BALANCED. Scatter Brained
Bruiser log saw I could go on and on with names that all the people on my pool teams call my Elite Heavy Breaking stick . The plain fact of the matter is this break cue scatters the object balls to Kingdom Kong. I have always been pretty sufficient at making eight ball breaks so if you are just buying this stick thinking you will get more eight ball breaks out of it please don’t a house stick is just fine. I bought this stick because I was not satisfied with the way the house sticks left the object balls bunched up making it harder for run outs. Issue solved with this one. With no history of breaking with this stick on my first night out with it 8 out of 10 racks were ran out after the break. I am 110% satisfied with this stick and the price makes it almost too cheap. I must admit, opinion base review. I just started playing pool competitively beginning of this year. So I was in the market for a actual break stick and for the price and the reviews this bad boy was perfect. I had it for three days and I practice on a particle board pool table and I was at least pocketing one to two balls with control. Also the weight I feel forces you to actually think fundamentals first because if you try to go super Sayian before your ready your going to miscue. Unfortunately I had to return it just because I play in BCA which only allows 25oz. I would still suggest this stick to anyone starting off. I only say that because if you think of it in weight lifting terms you lift heavy over time it would become lighter over time. So if you use a 20 or 18 oz break stick just imagine all that power your going to get.

The cue is stellar and hits hard. Only issue I have is that I had it engraved and wish it was done a little deeper. Being that it was on the chrome part you cant see the engraving. I’ve tried painting it and doesn’t work on the chrome. Other than that I love it.

Viva Le Difference
i ordered the Elite Heavy Breaker (27oz.) the Stealth STHBK01 Breaker (25oz.) and the Cuetec CT296 Breaker/Jump cue (21oz.). All 3 cues have different weights different tips and different ferrules. I compared these cues over a number of days; here are my results: Elite Heavy – Sank up to 5 balls on break; but it left the object balls bunched up and harder to run out. Stealth Breaker – Sank up to 3 balls on break; left the object balls really scattered. Cuetec CT296 Breaker/Jump – More consistant with less power; also sank up to 3 balls on break and left the object balls really scattered. This is the cue I kept. You cant beat Pooldawg.com – the most knowledge the top-notch return policy and the fastest most courteous customer service.

Wonderful Break Pool cue
I had a lot of hesitation before ordering such a heavy cue, but all reservation disappeared after the first break. It arrived earlier in the day on a league night, so I didn’t have any time to practice with it before showing up to play tournament matches in front of my entire (very snarky) team. Sure, I had to endure all kinds of ribbing–e.g., people making noises like a heavy machine backing up as I took it out of the cue case, some handed me a pair of safety goggles (no lie!), and lots of discussion about it being made from a depleted uranium core, capable of causing small earthquakes upon impact with the pool cue ball). Like I said, I’ve got a snarky team! But. . .by the end of the night, everyone on the team wanted to try it. It pretty much cannot perform a 9-ball break without at least one ball going in, often two or three. 8-ball breaks take a bit more practice, but almost always result in one to 3 balls going it. I really like the extra wide shaft.

If Mr. T were a pool stick
This break cue stick is Really well built for the money. HEAVY is not an understatement! I can get powerful breaks with a light cue and this cue but where the cue ball goes is a different story.. Some say stroke speed makes the break others prefer weight.. Everyone is right! With that being said with this cue I can sacrife stroke speed and concentrate on accuracy achieving powerful AND controlled breaks! It doesn’t do you any good to make 4 and leave yourself stuck on a rail or worse SCRATCH! I cant make any claims towards making more balls it doesn’t matter how hard you hit them if the rack isn’t tight! I’d suggest making the upgrade to a hard break tip… All in all I’m quite satisfied with this breaker quite consistent very powerful..

Without a doubt, i’ve found myself going and playing pool everyday I have off from work and had decided that I needed to reward myself with a good combination of billiard cues. I used to break with another more expensive stick with phenolic tip also. This stick has improved my breaking power treamendously. I average two 8-ball breaks a night if I am playing about 20 games..so 10% of the time…If I play league I always drop several balls in 8-ball and last week alone dropped 4 solids on my break. Have noticed improvement in 9-ball with my biggest break with this stick dropping in 5 balls including the 9…6 points off a break isn’ too bad! when you break with this cue stick the balls are all over the table and you allmost always make at least one ball on the break making for easier runouts or closs to it. The only draw back is if you don’t make a ball on the break your opponent has the same chance for a runout.

Tough at first, but became pretty OKAY for a break cue . .
First purchased and used the pool cue, but kept miscuing on break. This was likely because the tip is very hard and tiny, plus the cue is pretty heavy (for a guy with a few bad spinal discs 🙁 ). However, after learning how to use it and after chalking the stick a couple dozen times, it got better and better to a certain point. I have since become pretty pretty solid at breaking up balls and continue to tweak my break and thus getting new emi-repeatable results. I am delighted I bought this cue stick and it looks great with the chrome joint and chrome butt. The wrap is amazing and helps you get the top-notch grip during the stroke. I give it a four out of five because it could be a little easier and more comfortable to break, plus the tip and small end diameter still gives me miscues every couple of days. Other than that, nice-looking and great functioning cue: precise, too! I would buy an Elite / Action stick again, maybe one day I will try a regular Elite brand cue stick for play (not breaking). I just had my new Elite 27 oz.Break Cue stick delivered the other day and out I went to the Bar. It’s a heavy stick and takes a bit to get used to it but after that LOOK OUT! You will always get a few balls in on the break, and the 8 ball does a lot of traveling so it’s sure to be dropping in a hole for a win with a little adjustment in my break angle. A superb purchase. Now I can aim and just follow thru instead of trying to muscle a hard hit, the stick does it for me.

Great Break Cue For the Money
Without a doubt, i purchased this cue stick to work on speeding up my break shot. Using a really heavy pool cue and then going to my lighter break cue for games etc… The pool cue is a solid performer. I was concerned that the joint was threaded wood rather than metal but it’s been fine so far. The breaks have been well-built and the weight is definitely felt. As this pool cue isn’t legal to be used in BCA pool rules I won’t be using this cue outside of my home pool table for practice. It’s a great cue though.

5 star Break Cue
Without a doubt, i have been using this pool cue for one season in league play and I am extremely pleased with it. My goal was to achieve consistancy with my own break cue stick instead of using a random bar cue stick. The cue is very heavy but the weight bolt can be removed to bring the weight down to a normal stick weight if you can’t handle a pool cue that hits like the ”Hammer of Thor” When I first started using the cue I tended to miscue because the tip is unlike the cues I’m used to breaking with. With a little practice and chalking I have no problems with a miscue at all!!! My wife also uses this cue to break with and has NO issue with the weight or with miscues. For the money how can you go wrong with this heavy phenolic tip break cue. If you don’t like the weight remove the weight bolt and you still have a outstanding break cue for the money. I would buy the cue again and recommend it to a friend.

The Elite Heavy Breaker is our premier selling break cue by a wide margin. That being said this break cue stick is not for everyone. There are lots of theories that deal with cue weight. Some people hold the theory that a heavier cue stick will equate to more power. Others say the same of the ultra light break cues. Much like swinging a heavier (or lighter) baseball bat this is dependent on how quick you can snap. Just by looking at Newton’s Second Law we know that acceleration is dependent on both the net force acting on an object and the mass of the object itself. While I’m not a physicist and remember really little from my high school physics class the bottom line is that a heavier stick will not always mean a more powerful hit or break. In some cases it may even create less power depending on how much force you can create. That being said I am thrilled with this break cue. It gives me a much stronger break than I have with a standard break stick but I do find that I lose a bit of control when using my heavy breaker however the increase in power more than makes up for the slight loss of cue ball control (for my game anyway). Amazing break cue
To be frank, i found the tip it came with was too thin and I had to change the tip for a much thicker one which has now compacted nicely. I can get a nice rounded edge on it so I can break using below centre striking and keep the stick ball in the middle of the table. Last night playing 9 ball I sunk 6 balls including the 9 ball! I find it works top-notch for me by gripping the cue lightly but hitting the 1 ball with plenty of momentum.

so lets see as a break cue it is amazing dont need to put alot behind it to get a full table spread if you line it up right you can accurately 8 ball break. now for playing i have a spare shaft for this with a tiger sniper tip works wonders and its amazing once you get used to it for those of you that like a heavy cue this will work quality for you now i NEVER suggest actually using this as your main playing cue just because with the weight it really carries alot of momentum hard to have a soft shot really. but for some of those shots where a fair bit of ummpaaa is needed this makes it really effortless to keep your accuracy while throwing some weight behind the ball. i use an old mali for normal play. but when it comes to a Robust break this is amaizing.

I must admit, definitely an awesome break pool cue with the ease of ability to pop up the pool cue ball during the break. The feel and precision are truly magnificent as nicely. Still, I went a step further and replaced the standard phenolic tip to the Tiger Icebreaker. I still get the same excellent power and precision as before. And now in my opinion, when contacting the cue ball on a break, the pocket feels more durable, along with accuracy and control overall. The number of pots off the break has definitely improved in my game also. Truly a wonderful Breaker cue at an excellent price point.

First and foremost, I am not a league player. My wife and I play weekly on Friday nights at the local pool hall. Considering all the COVID-19 cooties running around, I thought it was top-notch to stop using “public cues” and get my own. I don’t want to sound paranoid, but we must face the facts. All that said, this thing breaks like a sledge hammer! It did take some getting used to, but now every break is a fantastic break, as long as I do my part. For the money, this is an incredible deal. I bought this stick to add more weight and strength to my breaks. I thought it would arrive as 27oz like shown, but when I removed the weight bolt and weighed everything, the cue I got was 1 lb 4 oz (20 oz) and the weight bolt in it was 26.5 oz. It’s only a 1/2 oz difference and I’m buying a lower weighted bolt anyway, but just making it known that it came less weight than shown on the page.

Heavy stick
I purchased this heavy stick for a “breaking” cue for my Husband. We have a pool table and it’s nothing serious but he and his friends play regularly and I heard him say, a few times, that he needed a heavy stick for breaking. I got him this one as a Valentine’s Day gift, had it engraved, which made it extra special, and he loves it. On the first break, with a couple of his friends watching, SIX balls fell in the holes. Everyone cheered!

A MUST HAVE.
Truthfully, it takes no effort to send the rack flying. Seriouls I’ve had it for a month and have had 3 8 snaps. And 7 break and runs. If you want to move balls this is the cue you need.

The order was accepted and shipped fairly quickly! Did have to wait for tip change but still it came when it was stated it will. Customer service is also very responsive and got back to me quickly!
