    McDermott Rocks!!

    Purchased the McDermott G209 cue with the G-Core shaft and couldn’t be happier. The stick hits smooth and sturdy with a cushioned type feel with the Navigator tip. This is my first experience with the G-Core and it’s silky fluid finish of the shaft makes life easy-peasy. Highly recommend McDermott and the best part is maintenance is free for life!

    I own a another cue stick with a smaller diameter in the same price range (I won’t mention the brand), but use this one most of the time now. The shaft is not as silky as some of the alternatives out there (like CueTech’s TruGlide series), but still good enough for daily play.

    I really like the G-Core shaft. I feel it does a good job minimizing deflection but still retains the feel of a durable wood shaft. The G209 overall has a really understated look that I appreciate…details in the just the right places. The fit and finish of this cue are top notch.

    Build quality

    I am thrilled with it…this is my first legit stick that I can use for a extremely long time and pass down ! The shaft is lovely and the finish is excellent! Love the dark english stain birdseye maple with the red pearl rings…Thank you PoolDawg and McDermott for construction service! I already vouch for this site .

    Pooldawg is a pleasure to do business with, they answered the phone on the first ring, were knowledgeable, and changed out the weight bolt for me. Fit and finish on this Mcdermott are outstanding, the stick feels and hits great, and the tip feels like an extension of your body. The G-Core shaft has some slight bounce to it when rolled on flat surface, but not enough to worry about now, I’ll take that up with Mcdermott’s excellent warranty department later down the road.

    It’s great! But…

    I can tell it is helping my game both physically and mentally from the technology and elegance. I do not adore the wood joint in the shaft but it is negligible since I will be upgrading the joint. . I do have a setback however, I found a few bubbles in the finish which can be saddening to look at because of the price of this piece. I would like to send it back to get one without blemishes but I am not sure how consistent it will be.

    Warranty

    So I have a Mcdermott pool que that I have had for several years.The que has warped over time,so I sent it back to the factory to see if they would warrant the que,there response was it was pre dated to replace and they could make a new shaft for 120.00.NOT GOOD BUSINESS in my opinion! was going to purchase another pool que,but I will give my business to another company.     McDermott cues have a wonderful

    Truthfully, mcDermott cues have a wonderful reputation for craftsmanship and design. I did my own research before deciding on the G209 but was a little apprehensive before pulling the pin. But after playing the G209 for several weeks now I am completely sold on the build quality and style. The Made in USA craftsmanship is apparent and the feel while shooting is precise. There is a lot of information out there on cues which makes (in my opinion) McDermott stand out from the crowd.
