Without a doubt the superior chalk on the market. I still can’t believe the value is this cheap for not one but 5 pieces of chalk; no wonder it sells out so quickly. Flawless consistency and a cool shape. My game immediately improved after using it and I gave a piece to my coach and he went up a skill level on my league. He already plays with a Predator Z shaft and this was the icing on the cake for him and he says he’s never played better in his life. See what all the hype is about and order some! The only gripe I have is that I wish it came in other colors but hopefully that will be developed soon.

Better Than Expected
I use Kamui chalk for my shooting cue. My break cue stick has a Hercules tip which is hard leather and almost feels like phenolic. I don’t the reason why of all chalks Predator 1080 is the one that holds onto the tip of my break pool cue better than any other but I don’t care! It’s fabulous. Real good on a shooting cue stick too.

Sure it has a goofy shape but it works!!! It has beat out my old favorite Master/Pooldawg squares. It goes on easily and stays on and I have fewer miscues and it leaves no residue on the table. I know chalk is a extremely subjective topic, but I am liking this chalk so far. It sticks to the tip pretty well, and so far, I haven’t noticed any more transference to the cb than what you get from other chalks. It obviously doesn’t do as well as some of the cosmetic chalks, but those are way overpriced and they get all over the table and both the stick ball and the object balls, which causes misses when those spots are where the two balls contact each other. Honestly, if you chalk before each shot, that brings all the chalks down to a level playing field. If you forget to chalk before a shot or two tho, there will still be enough chalk present to keep from miscueing. That’s where this chalk rises above alot of the others. Also, Predator chalk does create friction between the cb and ob, making english fairly easy to obtain.

Now before I get started let me explain I tend to be a vertical axis type of shooter. I recently saw the new Predator Pure 1080 chalk in a email from PoolDawg and figured what the heck I have been highly disappointed with the last two cubes of Kamui as properly as Kamui’s response to my displeasure. Now I am not a ANTI-Kamui guy…I still use it because for me it operates. I ordered a sleeve from PoolDawg and will priority shipping it was 15.00 so with 5 pieces in a sleeve we were at a 3.00 per cube cost slightly below Blue Diamond. I then headed off to the pool hall where I shaped my tip and cleaned it off and proceeded to chalk the first thing i noticed is it covered evenly and totally where ever i ran it…it has a effortless application with a slightly grittier look than my Kamui… I then thru out the rack and ran thru pocketing the balls with a assortment of stop follow draws side spins …another rack…ran ….third rack when trying to pull a draw reverse kick I miscued finally.. Chalked up and then started working on the outer edged and managed to hit anything I would fell comfortable hitting with the Kamui… Pros Cost wise it is cheaper than Blue Diamond and Kamui It held effectively to my Kamui medium black tip and it seemed to grip the cueball as effectively as the Kamui allowing me to use far more extreme english without fear of miscuing I did not notice any chalk streaks on table or on cue stick ball Full size piece Cons No long term affect on cloth test as of yet Cardboard holder seems flimsy and when down to lesser pieces like it would crush And thats about all I can say at this point…

In my experience, it’s a good chalk, but it’s straightforward to apply too much; when you do, it’ll fly off onto the table cloth. It grips the ball nicely, and does the job quite well. I personally don’t see much difference vs. Silver Cup or Master, but as I chalk nearly every shot, I doubt there’s much difference to be had.

It takes some adjusting to. The extra English this gives you will throw your shot off a tad bit until you get used to your new level of control. You also don’t have to chalk up as much using this. Really pleased with it so far. Just make sure you get the octagon holder for it so that you don’t lose them like I did my first roll.

Truthfully, predator chalk is the best chalk for the price point. It grips effectively on the cue stick tip and at only $2 for each octagonal shaped chalk provides much better control then Masters Chalk and covers the tip better and stays on. Very impressed with our first purchase of the Predator stick chalk. We need to use quite little, and are only rechalking a couple of times per game. Price is not at all expensive since you need to use so little. Silky effortless, adheres well to the tip, doesn’t flake off on the stick ball or off the cube either. Definitely will not go back to the other standard commonly used chalks.

I can not believe the low cost of a pack of this Predator chalk. I do know that if anyone can sell it at such a discount, it is going to be PoolDawg. PoolDawg is the first and only place I get my billiard equipment. The low cost they sell for is just an additional benefit. You can beat Predator chalk for a reliable clean chalk at a great price. To me, it operates just as well as the chalk which costs four times as much.

The quality of this chalk is remarkable. Once you use this chalk you will never go back to anything else. There is almost no dust. Other chalk I use to use is just that, CHALK. Dust old chalk. When I am done playing I don’t have chalk all over my hands and stick. The que ball will have dots on it but rub off. The grip is incredibly reliable. I will never use anything else.

Perfect beginner chalk that is not Master’s haha. It doesn’t feel too powdery and it’s not at all sticky. It grips the stick tip pretty properly and is not really messy. So far has allowed me to perform basic cue ball control pretty well (even on an old table with super worn felt), such as top- and bottom-spin. Its shape also makes it easier to use the edges of the chalk instead of digging a hole in the middle when chalking your cue.
