i have had one of these for about 4 years. It is fantastic. I spend hours just using it to practice my strokes. It also shows you as it spins visually how much spin you put on the ball by watching the graphics printed on the ball. Worth the price
To be frank, it’s phenolic resin, so it should roll as true as you’re capable of hitting it. That’s worth paying for in a ball you’re using to refine your strokes. Includes an instruction manual on fundamentals of ball control. The manual reads like it was poorly translated from another language, but I can still understand it.

After experiencing inconsistency with my CB’s path during a number of drills, I purchased the Rempe training ball. It has helped me realize several problems with my stoke including positioning of stick tip on CB. My stroke is improving with my raised awareness. The training booklet could be improved with better illustrations and how to practice type quidance. I now use the trainer regularly focusing on all of the basics. My game is getting better as a result.

Truthfully, this is more a review of Pool Dawg and a thank you for great service. In trying to pick out gifts for a favorite pool player, I had to ask advice twice from Pool Dawg folks. From my perspective, overall I adore this purchase it is not only good for personal knowledge but I have found it to be invaluable when instructing another person on stick english and manipulation. The book isn’t too bad either and may even teach an experienced player a thing or two. Overall it is perfectly what you would expect. One luxury of this ball is since it is new and there are now marks on it you get to see exactly where you strike the ball provided your cue stick it chalked correctly. This is valuable feedback for someone trying to work their stroke and accuracy.

Amarath cueballs are great for true roll and grabbing spin. This ball is terrific for drilling. The feature of the cueball being able to hold your chalk so you know precisely where you strike the ball to where your aiming is a superb way to test your mechanics of your stroke. Putting english on a cue ball can change shots because of squirt deflection and the throw your putting on a ball. The booklet that comes with the ball touches on these concepts. Then its just practice and application. Love this cueball. You can really get it to zip.

Great training ball to learn how to control the cue ball! I definitely recommend purchasing it to practice with now and then. As for the construction, its not as high end as my Aramith “measles” cue ball, because it will leave burn marks on the felt, my Aramith “measles” pool cue ball does not. But overall its a solid investment to have the Jim Rempe Training Ball on hand if you want to get better with accuracy, control and knowledge of how to move the cue ball around the billiard table.

i may not use this ball the ways it’s documented, but I’ve used it to help myself and my friends better see their stroke accuracy. Tend to drop your elbow, or not sure if your pocket matches your eye on the shot? Set up the bulls eye and take your shot. Your chalk mark will let you know.
