Back in the middle ages, the only way to make purple dye was to harvest hundreds of sea snails and then extract the purple pigment from them. It was a tedious and expensive process and as a result, purple became a color that was only worn by royalty and the upper classes. Nowadays, I’m pretty sure it costs about the same to make pretty much every color in the rainbow, so purple’s status as the color of royalty has fallen by the wayside. It looks like Action is trying to bring that back with this cue.The deep purple stained maple is accented with chrome and turquoise overlaid rings to add to the regal look of this cue. It also comes with one of Action’s quality hardrock maple shafts and a layered boarskin tip.
