new shaft and a softer tip
with the advice of your salesperson, I purchase another shaft (looking for a 2nd shaft) with a softer tip. I wad having problems with miscues and I was advised that a softer tip would cure my problem. It has and I am extremely satisfied.

New life for old cue
I purchased an older Cuetec- circa 1990s, but the shaft was slightly warped. I wanted to try a low deflection shaft to match-up to the Legacy era butt. Found this AVID era shaft. Turns out Cuetec offers this modern shaft in the old 20.0mm diameter joint. The shaft arrived from Pooldawg in a few days. Voilà! The perfect pool cue stick. The shaft has a glassy-smooth feel, and the deflection is extremely minimal. The lockup and “feel” of the Cuetec joints are amazingly quiet and fluid. Old Cuetec for $37.00 AVID era Shaft for $130.00 I’m a happy man.

Top-notch deal for entry-level playing shaft
Really good playing shaft. Placed an order for this 12.75mm style shaft after playing with a similar 11.75mm style shaft. Much easier to aim and see if your stroke is straight. Low deflection. Standard Tiger tip is wonderful too. Comes with joint protector. PoolDawg is awesome. Received my order in only a few days. Thanks PoolDawg!

Avid 12.75 Cuetec
This is a quite nice shaft. Love the slim taper and the tiger everest 12.75 tip. Small enough and “sticky” enough for some excellent pinpoint spin. I got spoiled with my tru-glide sst shaft and this the superior of both. Thanks

so far I’m loving the new shaft, it plays terrific and is truly silky and easy to keep clean, slides very nicely with the cuetec axis glove and has taken my playing to the next level, the Tiger tip seems to be doing outstanding as well, I put the shaft on the cuetec chroma cue and am overall very satisfied with it.

Cuetec Avid shaft works!
I am thrilled with it so why’d I give 4 out of 5 stars? That tip is taking some getting used to! Going to keep using it for a bit longer before I switch it out to the Kamui soft that I’ve become accustomed to.. I’ve been using cuetec products for the last decade including the Xfinity carbon fiber shaft that I sold because of the unnatural color.. I’m old school and need maple for mental imagery aiming so I was pleasantly surprised & excited to try Avid’s low deflection shaft. Been shooting 9ball every morning testing the capabilities and loving the results! Now I always say “it’s a piss-poor carpenter who blames his tools” so I’ll keep working with the medium hardness tip before I have a local guy change it for a softer tip.. perhaps I will bond with the medium… otherwise everything else is damn impressing, the taper, the coating and the ferrule plus it matches my older cuetec butt! I’m very satisfied with this product!!

Very seamless
Truthfully, i got this shaft to go with my avid 11.75 as I wanted the option to switch them based of the table I am playing on. I feel I have a lot better control of the cue stick ball on a bar box, and the 12.75 works nicely for me on a 9 footer.

Cuetec AVID 12.75mm Playing Shaft
This shaft replaces the S.S.T. True-Glide shaft that came with my Cuetec pool cue originally. This has less deflection and is smoother. A very definite upgrade.

Great upgrade from SST
am impressed by it! Upgraded from the SST, Fargo has already gone up 30 points since my initial ~20 matches with this cue. Are they related in any way? I have no idea… but either way this was a great upgrade.

12. 75 avid shaft
Shaft is very good. I bought it for a spare. I play with an SVB cynergy. Everyone at Pool Dawg was quite helpful,friendly and knowledgeable. I only buy from Pool Dawg.

Unbelievably Good Shaft
This shaft’s performance is unreal, regardless of the value. I bought this shaft before switching to a Cynergy 15k 12. 5mm and recently went back to playing with it. It is now my regular playing shaft, and I prefer it to my Cynergy CF shaft. It’s so satisfactory that I might sell my Cynergy shaft lol. You will not find a better product on the market for this value.
