Two weeks of use
In my experience, i have tried the Magic rack and the Ultimate Turtle rack, both work very well. I prefer the Ultimate Turtle rack as the plastic seems to be more perfectly suited for the task and it holds more of the balls in place. Both will change the nature of your break for the better, but there is an adjustment period, as you are getting a ideal for the fist time, every time. Most of the people I play with like it, but some of the old timers are not very open to change.

I’ve used this plastic rack and broke on it about 50 times and have made balls on the break about 95% of the time. Too bad guys at tournaments won’t let me use it. It’s a rule at these tournaments where your opponent has to agree to use it.

Honestly, this rack works really nicely for 8 ball. No space between the balls whatsoever. However, 9 and 10 ball racks leave space between the bottom rows. It’s almost like this one needs the last row of balls to push the others up a bit. Still a wonderful purchase and I’ll likely use it till like wears out.

The first one I received the middle two balls on the fourth row were not completely touching the center ball on the bottom row of 8-ball rack, they sent me another one and it was better. I also bought a new set of balls and had a tighter rack. I also bought a zipper document folder to carry it in so I can lay it flat to keep it from curling up.

8 – 9 – 10 ball rack
I bought one for each team in our league to use on league nights. There was a reluctance to use anything different so I thought by giving each team a rack they would try the new way. Effectively players are making more balls and like the new rack. One issue is that the one ball wants to disconnect from the next two with some racks I purchased,has anyone else noticed this trouble?

Really simple invention design but provides a very tight rack. There is a ‘cradle’ for every ball but the 8 ball. But since it is surrounded by every other ball it doesn’t need one. The template is thin enough that it hardly effects balls after the break. After using a wood triangle for years, I will be using this for a fast, tight rack. I highly endorse this item for consistently tight rack results.

I have to say, this is my review from my YouTube channel: I swore never to use one but I had gift card money to PoolDawg and decided to try a template rack. I ended up with the Turtle Ultimate Rack by C&F Olive. I gotta say I really like it. I figured it’d take longer to rack but it’s actually quicker because you’re not fighting with the rack trying to get all the balls spot on. I’m guessing it gives a much more consistent break too because of how tight it makes them. All of the balls are touching when using this rack. I highly endorse trying a template rack if you haven’t already.

The invisible rack
Now here’s a item that I was so curious about I just HAD to order one. I’ll admit, it takes a few racks in order to get comfortable with the technique, but once you get the hang of it this little gem of an invention performs excellent. I was not sure if it should be removed from the table for play or not, and I’ve found no negative results by leaving it in place. This is a must-have accessory tool for your table.

This Turtle Rack helped make the perfect rack every time. It is a little strange to use at first and takes a couple of times to get the hang of it. Once you do, it makes it worth it. It also lays so flat that it will not disturb any of the other balls throughout the break. Once cleared, you simply remove it from the table.

Durable Racks all the time
I must admit, these turtle racks are way better than the black plastic magic racks. They are more durable which pool players like since most platers pick them up by squeezing them and causing kinks in the black plastic rack. That doesn’t happen with the turtle rack. We have a senior center with 6 tables and we really like the turtle rack.

Template Racks are awesome, in that they keep all balls tight and touching. The “con” that they achieve this by making the ball placement holes non-round, thus favoring the balls to lean to the middle (thus the tight rack), is not enough of a reason not to use. The balls EXPLODE off this rack, with the thin layer being a non-factor in interference. Also, this ball rack placement is Exactly what i needed for “one-fifteen” eight-ball, played in Arizona.
