when I first called to order the Meucci Carbon shaft they were out. I left my number and thought they would never call. To my surprise they did and I ordered. I really like the Meucci taper. I wish I could explain how my game has improved but it really has. One shot that has improved for me is running the object Ball on the long rail to pocket it. I like the sound and feel on shots. I have tried other carbon fiber shafts and I like this one much better. I did have the tip changed to the Perdator medium hard tip.

I’ve been playing with a meucci bullseye black dot shaft before I got the carbon pro. The difference is extremely noticable, performs like wood but the spin action you get on the ball is incredible, i replaced the tip with a tiger sniper tip and golly im absolutely amazed. 12/10 recommended if you wanna step up your game.

Forced to get another shaft.
Without a doubt, i had no choice but to get another shaft since the shop at Meucci failed to return my warped “pro shaft”. They have yet to refund my money, fix the shaft, or replace the shaft. Their website is also non responsive. I sent the shaft back for repair back in October. That being said, the carbon fiber pro shaft is a quality shaft. I can get a lot more spin on the pool cue ball & more control on positioning. It takes a little getting used too. I have not been able to play that much due to Covid restrictions. Highly disappointed in the service at Meucci though.

Honestly, bought this for a custom AE cue stick that I have had 15-20 years. Hadn’t used a CF shaft before . Uniloc joint fit perfectly as always. Decent hit and I think there is less deflection vs a maple shaft . Not better , just different. I did get an upgrade to a Kamui soft tip . The PoolDawg upgrade program is outstanding and it only took about a day longer to receive my order Would buy again.

Really like my new shaft. The low deflection which in all honesty is zero deflection takes some getting used to but man am I impressed so far. I’ve only shot a few league matches with it but I’m getting more and more confident with it. Shipment was really good as well. I have to say, got my Meucci carbon pro delivered to Sweden with great support from Pooldawgs customer service through the whole shipment with customs etc. The cue tip will take some time getting used to since I have been playing with a Meucci original for the last 15 years. But so far so nice. The construction is as good as allways from Meucci and for a carbon fibre tip it feels really close to a wood tip. Now you’ll have to excuse me, I need to put in all the hours I can to unlearn my aiming with a Hugh deflection cue as the old Meuccis. Cheers!

Superb shaft once you get the right tip
Ordered the 12.75mm Meucci Carbon Fiber Pro V2 shaft with 5/16 18 joint and a Kamui black SS tip. Didn’t feel right – Felt real spongy on long table draws. Changed to the Kamui clear black SS tip and dressed it down to about 4 layers thick. Feels just right now. (I had previously tried a REVO that I sent back). So far, every order from PoolDawg has been on time or early. Roll Tide!

Really enjoying the shaft thus far. Unlike the Revo, it doesn’t feel or sound metallic or hollow at all. I was previously playing with an 11.5mm Predator Z3. I feel like the 12.25mm Carbon Fiber Pro gets just as much english and has roughly the same or just slightly less deflection than the Z3. The big advantage is that I get the same performance, with a much larger tip that is more forgiving to slight errors in stroke.

In my experience, i’ve had this shaft about a month & some change now, I definitely noticed the zero deflection right away& it’s taking me some time to get use to it but it is still a superb shaft to own. Just as advertised you can still “feel the hit”, I have not owned any other carbon shaft but that is something people who I know with other carbon shafts said was what they had to deal with. I love how it stays smooth even when my bridge hand gets slightly sweaty. Plus it makes my cue look awesome. Pooldawg as always delivers with care & stellar customer support they answered all of my questions not only about shaft specs but also order details. I paid extra to 2nd day air but had I not I know I can always count on Pooldawg to make sure that the order is right & in my hands in a reasonable time period.

I bought 3 of these shafts. 2 for shooting and the other is a break shaft only. I wish I had gotten them sooner instead of waiting. They shoot amazingly my excellent. They’re super smooth and get great backspin and english on the stick ball. The pleasant thing is they don’t sound hollow when you pocket the ball. The break shaft is a different story. It obliterates racks like a wrecking ball. You want to shoot a better game with your pool cue then look no further. Oh by the way I didn’t order mine from pool dawg but I can tell you that they don’t have the break only shaft. Maybe they’ll get some in the future.

Meucci carbide shaft
I have to say, i purchased the carbide shaft because of all the reviews I have seen. I picked the Meucci because that is my preferred stick to date. The shaft came quickly and is all I hoped for. I have only been using it a few weeks. It appears to provide less deflection than the Meucci shaft that came with my stick. So far I like the shaft but only time well tell if I go back to the original shaft. As always Pooldawg provided what I ordered in an efficient manner. Although I could return the shaft per their policy, I doubt that I will. It will fit a number of other butts that I own, and I think it will join my arsenal of sticks.

Truthfully, everything looks, strokes, reacts, and sounds like I expected. I would rate 5 stars, but there is a hairline gap where the shaft and butt connect and after a few shots they start to loosen up so that I have to tighten them together again. For the cost, I feel like I should not have to deal with this.

In my experience, i am quite pleased with the purchase. Pool Dawg did a terrific job getting it to me quickly and the product is working excellent for me. I do think it could have had a little more protective packaging material, but it made it just fine. I moved from the Meucci Pro wooden shaft to this carbon shaft and did not have to adjust at all. I love the feel the pool cue has hitting the ball and the shaft stays smooth without need for as frequent of cleaning as my wooden shaft which make my stroke feel smoother. It appears excellent on the MEB cue stick as well.

I find that Meucci is better for the soft touch shots and the slow rollers. The REVO hits with more power for the power draws or power follow shots. I just recently received the Meucci so I’m still doing my evaluation.

Amazing Shaft
In my experience, first and foremost, I am from Canada and would like to thank PoolDawg for their excellent service ( 5 stars filling and delivering my order). Now for the shaft itself….. I recently bought a Purex HXT 15 low deflection cue and the cue still gave me a lot of squirt. I decided to go all in and purchase the Meucci Carbon Fiber shaft to fit on the Purex HXT Butt. I will tell you I was almost in disbelief of the difference between shafts, amazingly accurate with little to no Squirt and back spins with so little effort. I have only fooled around with it an hour or so, but to me it will be a real game changer. And I will give this Cue another 5 stars.

I might just be to old school
I have owned a Meucci for several years with an older black dot shaft. I have watched as more top players and enthusiastic amateurs have been drawn to carbon fiber shafts and praised them. I wanted to see what the hype was about, so I bought the Meucci carbon fiber V2 shaft. I also had a Tiger meduim-soft tip put on it (I have a Tiger medium on my old shaft). I feel the make of the construction is very good. The light weight and feel of the shaft definitely require some adjustment. I feel like the cueball picks up a bit more speed off the carbon fiber than my black dot shaft for the same stroke. I found myself rolling past my intended leaves more frequently before I started adjusting with the V2. I was expecting to be able to get more action out of the carbon fiber, but thus far my old shaft still creates better english in every way (admittedly that could also just be due to my comfort level and trust with my old shaft). All and all I am still feeling out my V2 and am satisfied with my purchase, but I find myself playing my competitive matches with my black dot still. I might just be too old for the new fancy stuff, but it is a good product.

I really like this shaft. It handles effectively and has excellent feel. I ordered with soft tip but received a medium. Pooldawg sent me a replacement Kumui black soft tip that i requested. I feel it is better than the standard tip on this shaft. I also play with a Cuetec 15K shaft but really like the Muecci shaft better. Sounds better on strike and personally like the larger white Ferral for better sighting and alignment. No complaints with this quality carbon fiber shaft.

I have to say, i bought this to pair with my Jayson Shaw butt. Exactly what i needed fit. It looks fantastic and it is seamless as silk. Outstanding craftsmanship as you’d expect from Meucci. Extremely little deflection and I do feel it has helped improve my shooting at least on long shots.

To be frank, i didn’t know that the that there were different sizes, so when I first received it, realize the 3/8 10 was not what I have .I call and told the that I needed the 5/16 18 .Sent back that shaft only to get one in return and this was the same 3/8 10 that I had sent back.Other than that your people have been real good,and I talk to people and they had said that Pool Dawg are usually good.

I have to say, i like the Kamui medium tip just fine I would like to try the soft tip as well just to compare. The Meucci Carbon Fiber Pro Shaft is really nice !! It has a smooth silky feel to it. I just need to play around with it more, definitely a game changer
