Description

Interchangeability is the idea behind the Bull Carbon BCL18, a black carbon fiber pool cue built on the V-TEK joint system. It suits players who like to experiment with shafts and want a cue that is designed with that in mind.

The V-TEK system pairs interchangeable shafts with a Uni-Loc quick-release joint. Players after high performance take the OG with its Kamui Black Soft tip, and players after extreme low deflection take the RK with its Kamui Athlete Soft tip. Four diameters are offered, 11.75, 12.25, 12.65 and 12.85 mm, and lengths are 29 or 30 inches.

On the butt side, a black Implex cap and screw-in stopper sit behind a comfort textured leather wrap, while a 10 mm matte black collar marks the shaft. The cue is available in 18 to 21 oz, with the weight chosen at checkout and refined through the stackable weight bolt system. The listing also states a 10-year warranty that includes warpage.

Weight & Balance

This model takes a weight-bolt system, so the weight and balance point can be tuned after purchase. Adding weight toward the butt moves the balance rearward for a more planted feel; less weight shifts it forward for a livelier stroke. The balance point on a finished cue usually sits about 18 to 19 inches from the butt.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Bull Carbon BCL18 Pool Cue use?

It uses a Uni-Loc joint. That means any Uni-Loc shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against Uni-Loc before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Bull Carbon BCL18 Pool Cue?

This cue ships with a 11.75mm, 12.25mm, 12.65mm, 12.85mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Bull Carbon BCL18 Pool Cue comes with a Carbon Fiber shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Bull Carbon BCL18 Pool Cue built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is leather wrap. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Bull Carbon dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Bull Carbon dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay. Because this one is over $600, a 10% restocking fee applies to the return.
