Description

The HC07 Shorty Cue from Energy by Players is built for situations where a full-size stick will not fit: cramped apartments, RVs, boats, or a young player who has outgrown a mini cue but is not ready for a standard 58 inch one. It carries a 13.00mm classic wood shaft and a linen wrap, so the grip stays textured and handles moisture the way a traditional wrap does, finished in black that hides scuffs well on a cue that gets tossed in a bag. Energy is the budget-minded collection under the Players name, and the HC07 reflects that: solid, no-frills construction at about $160 rather than premium materials or inlay work. It plays like a standard cue scaled down, not a toy, which makes it a reasonable second cue for a household that already owns a full-length set. It is in stock now.

Questions about this cue

What shaft diameter is the Energy By Players HC07 Shorty Cue?

This cue ships with a 13.00mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Energy By Players HC07 Shorty Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Energy By Players HC07 Shorty Cue built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is linen wrap. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Energy dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Energy dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.
