The Energy by Players Matte Gunmetal Smoke Wrapless Cue is a Energy playing cue sold by Quarter King Billiards. It has a 13.00mm classic wood shaft. It is in stock at $175, with free shipping over $98 and 30-day returns.

Description

The Matte Gunmetal Smoke is a wrapless cue in the Energy by Players lineup, built around a grey, matte finish that reads more understated than the brand’s gloss models. Skipping the wrap means the grip zone is finished in the same matte material as the rest of the shaft, which some players prefer for a firmer, drier hold compared to linen or simulated leather. It still uses the 13.00mm classic wood shaft that runs through the Energy collection, so the feel underneath the finish stays consistent with the brand’s other cues. At about $180 it sits toward the upper end of what Energy charges, reflecting the smoke finish work rather than any change in shaft material. It suits a player who wants a plain, modern look without wrap texture under their hand. This model is currently in stock.

Questions about this cue

What shaft diameter is the Energy by Players Matte Gunmetal Smoke Wrapless Cue?

This cue ships with a 13.00mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Energy by Players Matte Gunmetal Smoke Wrapless Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Energy by Players Matte Gunmetal Smoke Wrapless Cue built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is wrapless. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Energy dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Energy dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.
