Description

The McDermott G521W is a black playing cue from the G Series. Its black urethane forearm and butt sleeve carry white pearl inlays, the collar is black, and the handle is wrapped in black Irish linen. The butt ends with a black plate bearing a gold McDermott logo and a black rubber bumper marked with the same logo.

Up front is a 29 inch G-Core shaft with a 1/2 inch Ivorene ferrule and a 13mm Navigator Black tip, which McDermott builds from layers of Japanese pigskin leather. G-Core adds a triple-layer carbon fiber core through the first 7 inches of the shaft and a carbon fiber ferrule core, a design the maker says steadies the hitting end and cuts vibration.

The joint is a 3/8×10 pin. A weight bolt lets you change the weight, and the cue is offered in 18, 19, 20 and 21 oz. It does not come with an extension, case or joint protectors. McDermott covers the cue with its lifetime warranty, which the maker says includes warpage.
