The Mezz ZZEC9WWK Pool Cue is a Mezz playing cue sold by Quarter King Billiards. It has a United joint and a 12.50mm classic wood shaft. It lists at $858, with free shipping over $98 and 30-day returns.

Description

The Mezz ZZEC9WWK rounds out the EC9 series in a black-stained exotic wood finish with off-white and silver accenting on the forearm and a matching exotic wood collar. Unlike its EC9R and EC9W siblings, this build skips the wrap for a smooth wood grip straight through the handle.

It carries the same 12.5mm Kamui original soft tip, XJ Powerplate ferrule, and United pin joint as the rest of the series, with the Mezz X-Bumper and Mezz-branded butt plate finishing the build. Weight-changeable and shipped with joint protectors, it’s a fit for a player who prefers a wood grip over linen or leather but still wants the EC9’s playing specs underneath.

Weight & Balance

This model takes a weight-bolt system, so the weight and balance point can be tuned after purchase. Adding weight toward the butt moves the balance rearward for a more planted feel; less weight shifts it forward for a livelier stroke. The balance point on a finished cue usually sits about 18 to 19 inches from the butt.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Mezz ZZEC9WWK Pool Cue use?

It uses a United joint. That means any United shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against United before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Mezz ZZEC9WWK Pool Cue?

This cue ships with a 12.50mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Mezz ZZEC9WWK Pool Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Mezz ZZEC9WWK Pool Cue built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

Is Quarter King an authorized Mezz dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Mezz dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay. Because this one is over $600, a 10% restocking fee applies to the return.
