The Players Blue Maple Cue with Black Linen Wrap is a Players playing cue sold by Quarter King Billiards. It has a 5/16X18 joint and a 13.00mm classic wood shaft. It is in stock at $208, with free shipping over $98 and 30-day returns.

Description

Blue Maple finishes the forearm in a blue-toned maple with a black linen wrap on the handle, sitting between the birdseye cues and the pricier graphic line on price. It is built with the same 5/16×18 joint and 13mm Classic Wood shaft found across the Classic series. The black linen wrap keeps grip consistent even as hands sweat over a long session, which is the practical reason to choose it over a wrapless cue at a similar price point. At about $210, it is one of the more balanced options in the lineup for a player who wants color, some wrap texture, and a fair price. In stock now.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Players Blue Maple Cue with Black Linen Wrap use?

It uses a 5/16X18 joint. That means any 5/16X18 shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against 5/16X18 before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Players Blue Maple Cue with Black Linen Wrap?

This cue ships with a 13.00mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Players Blue Maple Cue with Black Linen Wrap comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Players Blue Maple Cue with Black Linen Wrap built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is linen wrap. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Players dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Players dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.
