Players’ HXT105 belongs to the HXT family, where the headline feature is the brand’s HXT low-deflection shaft — a real piece of shaft technology bundled into a budget-tier package. The maple butt and standard production hardware keep things straightforward; the shaft is where the upgrade lives. Aimed at league players who want better cue ball control than a house cue or basic starter offers, without paying mid-tier money. A sensible bridge from “any old cue” to something that actually behaves on draw shots.

The Players HXT105 Pool Cue is a Players playing cue sold by Quarter King Billiards. It has a 5/16X18 joint and a classic wood shaft. It is in stock at $242, with free shipping over $98 and 30-day returns.

Description

HXT105 splits the difference on shaft diameter, running a 12.00mm Classic Wood shaft, thinner than the standard 13mm shaft but not as slim as the HXT101. It uses the standard 5/16×18 joint found across the Players lineup, and the finish is a straightforward black. At about $240, it is priced below the other HXT cues covered here, which run thinner shafts still or carry additional finish detail. This cue is currently out of stock, so players interested in the 12mm HXT option should expect a wait rather than immediate availability.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Players HXT105 Pool Cue use?

It uses a 5/16X18 joint. That means any 5/16X18 shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against 5/16X18 before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Players HXT105 Pool Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Players HXT105 Pool Cue built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

Is Quarter King an authorized Players dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Players dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.
