Scorpion SCOOP05 One-Piece Fiberglass Cue – 57in

Original price was: $80.00.Current price is: $72.00.

Scorpion built the SCOOP05 as a 57-inch one-piece fiberglass cue with a natural-finish forearm and black point inlays — clean enough to look intentional on the rack, tough enough to stand up to rec-room abuse. The fiberglass shaft and 12.25mm layered medium tip combination gives a more consistent hit than the rubber-tipped wall cues most casual rooms supply. Available in 18, 19, 20, and 21 ounces. A sensible buy for table owners stocking a home setup, or league captains who need solid loaners that won’t warp in a humid basement.

The Scorpion SCOOP05 One-Piece Fiberglass Cue - 57in is a Scorpion playing cue sold by Quarter King Billiards. It has a 12.25mm fiberglass shaft. It lists at $72, with free shipping over $98 and 30-day returns.

Description

At 57 inches, the Scorpion SCOOP05 is a shorter one piece fiberglass cue, finished in black and tan with a 12.25mm fiberglass shaft and no joint to assemble. The reduced length makes it a practical fit for tighter rooms or younger players who find a full length cue awkward to handle around a table pushed close to a wall. Like the rest of Scorpion’s one piece fiberglass cues, it is built to withstand the kind of constant, unfussy use a house or bar cue gets, standing up to humidity and handling better than a wood shaft would in the same setting. There is no wrap and no joint, just a single solid stick from tip to butt. At about $72 and currently in stock, the SCOOP05 is a low cost way to add a genuinely usable house cue.

Questions about this cue

What shaft diameter is the Scorpion SCOOP05 One-Piece Fiberglass Cue - 57in?

This cue ships with a 12.25mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Scorpion SCOOP05 One-Piece Fiberglass Cue - 57in comes with a Fiberglass shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Scorpion SCOOP05 One-Piece Fiberglass Cue - 57in built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.
