Exceptional Quality

I must admit, i have been playing pool for about 20 years and wanted my first high-end pool cue stick. I have been using the predator roadline cues for a while and recently upgraded shafts to a Revo. My preferred color combo is red and black, and since I had the black shaft, I was looking for a mostly red butt with inlays that will make it stand out above the rest. Initially I was looking at the Icon series from Predator as there was not a lot of information about Spartan brand. This brand is still pretty new on the market and all reviews I had seen so far were positive so I checked the return policy (just in case) and decided to go ahead and pull the trigger on getting this cue as it really was impressive looking. I’m extremely glad that I did, this stick is much more nice-looking in person than pictures can show, it really is a masterpiece of a work of art. I have received so many compliments about how amazing my cue stick appears. Best of all, it performs just as properly as the predator cues I have used in the past, but is a bit cheaper than the Icon series cues that I was trying to decide between. 10/10 for playability, seems, and pretty much any other stat you can measure a pool cue by.

A outstanding cue

I got my new Spartan cue yesterday. Its better than I hoped for. It has become my favorite pool cue already. The balance is the premier of any cue stick I have tryed. The beauty and craftsmanship is incredible. Pooldog got it here quite speedy as well.

Weight & Balance

This cue is offered in WBUNI, Yes. A lighter cue is easier to accelerate for a whippy, spin-friendly stroke; a heavier cue plants more solidly and drives the cue ball with less effort. Most players settle between 19 and 20 ounces.

What joint does the Spartan SPR05 Cue use?

It uses a Uni-Loc joint. That means any Uni-Loc shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against Uni-Loc before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Spartan SPR05 Cue?

This cue ships with a 12.75mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Spartan SPR05 Cue comes with a Carbon Fiber shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Spartan SPR05 Cue built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

The grip is wrapless. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.
