Just put a Tiger Everest tip on my Adam JR-12 (Jim Rempe signature) pool cue that I have used exclusively since 1984.This tip came standard on my OB-1 shaft. When it came time to replace it, I got a Kamui clear tip. My friends said that this was THE TIP to have. Anyhow as time went on, I thought that I had forgotten how to draw the cue ball. Shot with it for the first time last night. I’m trying to draw the ball back about two feet and it’s backing up the full length of the table. Hmmm, guess I didn’t forget.

I’ve used Kamui tips for years and love them. Well I bought an OB Fusion shaft for my cue stick and it came with a Tiger Everest tip. Wow was I shocked. The accuracy and control was out of this world. Just a little tap and I could get the cue ball to do whatever I wanted. When using english I only use a half tip and get what i do with a full tip on my Kamui. Never did I think I’d find a better tip. But I did. This will be my new perminit tip. I shoot pool 5 to 6 days a week. I own my own lathe and put on my own tips. I have lots of customers whom I apply tips for. I usually use Ultra Skin tips for customers who don’t care what tip I put on. Ultra Skin is alot like Kamui without the value. But I now suggest Tiger Everest to everyone of my customers.

I am quite pleased with the tip. It seems like a nice med to med hard You have to take off the red stuff before you can glue it. I used really rough sandpaper and it took forever to get it off so I could glue it on. I I and holds its shape nicely and has a good feel. It performs like a 5 star but I gave it a 4 star because it was a pain to install.

I have to say, this tip gave me everything I was looking for. It installs like a hard but with minimal effort, holds superb shape over time with no mushrooming. Even when miscueing (my fault) the Everest doesn’t glaze over or take any damage. It feels light and porous but still sturdy, helping it hold chalk for a good amount of time. It’s grippy on the cueball. Fantastic tip for playing overall!
