Best Template Rack on the Market
I’ve tried the other two template racks (Magic and Orville) and the Turtle Rack is the top-notch of them all. It is easy to rack and the typical balls you find at bars or pool halls rack very tightly compared to the others. The white color makes it straightforward to see on the table as nicely. I modified a manila file folder to carry the racks. Just tape the sides of the folder and make a loop to help prevent the racks from falling out if you carry it the wrong way.

Honestly, i’ve tried several rack templates but the Turtle Rack is the easiest to get the balls into position. Using the Turtle Rack makes it seem like the balls become magnetic. The balls “snap” together, ensuring a spot on rack every time.

Without a doubt, i’ve tried the Accu-Rack, Magic Rack, and the Delta-13 rack. They’re all decent, and they all get five stars. The very first time I used the Turtle rack, however, I was surprised. It somehow locks my Aramith balls tighter and more easily than the other racks, and does just as well with my Action Polyester balls. It doesn’t seem physically possible, but I just don’t need to fiddle with the rack to get everything perfect.

I too have tried a few different rack templates and this is my current favorite. I have a set in both vehicles and use them 2-3 times a week. Since the material is a little thicker the Turtle rack needs to be removed from the table asap, but that hasn’t been an issue for me.

This has become my favorite template rack! I shoot with predator arcos II balls. Magic racks seem to almost pinch the balls together. This results in an unnaturally tight rack. Makes the rack too predictable if the one is on the spot this template seems to allow some variation even though all the balls are touching. More realistic and natural. As always pooldawg is the superior website to fulfill all your billiards needs.
