Reliable choice
These balls are a good choice. I recently refelted by table only to find that my old pool balls were leaving burnouts on the fabric making it look old and warn. I immediately ordered some new balls to thwart this issue. These aramith balls work as specified. I play every evening and have yet to see any new white spots or tracks on my table. They do not wabble like my old ones sometimes did when they come to a rest and they take english properly. I am pleased with my choice. The only compliant that i have is that the numbers are not sharp they have a smokey haze around them. I didn’t purchase these balls for their looks but if given a choice i would have perferred a sharper font so that it matches the high sheen.

To be frank, fantastic pool balls. I was surprised at the difference in using the Aramith balls instead of the cheap balls that came with our table. On Simonis cloth they roll significantly smoother. Also sounds nicer when the hit especially on the break. Definitely a worthwhile addition to any pool table – I highly recommend these pool balls.

True hitting, reliable roll, a good replacement for my standard balls acquired in 1975. Inherited valley coin op table from a relative with new felt, but old balls. Old balls didn’t even look like they were a matching set back in 75 and a few rolled funny, especially on big cuts or finesse shots. Truly thought it was my imagination for a while until I played with my new balls. The new balls are very smooth with no stress cracks or wrinkles.Nothing is more frustrating than knowing you should score a potted ball, but your balls are corrupted. Couldn’t believe how shiny the new balls are. Shots are much more reliable. Nothing like a new shiny set of balls. FYI: thought I had some scratches from playing, but was just chalk residue. If you play heavily, like my 3 sons and I do iI endorse some ball polish and a microfiber towel. Rub them balls down real lovely and they look like brand new balls. I also noticed the old balls drug on the table and left some trails on the new felt. My new balls don’t seem to drag. I guess the ball technology is more advanced than it was 50 years ago. Go figure, anyone ever heard of a cell phone in 75? Doubt it. PREMIUM BALLS =PREMIUM PLAY Money well spent.

The way pool should be played.
I play pool in a league and recently bought a table. Immediately I noticed that my table played weird. I was worried it was the felt as I got a Teflon mix instead of Simonis to save $. I looked online and found some threads suggesting that this awkward play may actually be caused by the pool balls themselves and not the table. 2 days ago I purchased a full set of Aramith and all of my problems were solved. The balls roll naturally and fluidly and contact solid and consistent every time which is extremely important for someone who is playing competitively. The best way to sum up the difference these balls make is with an analogy: Playing pool without this construction of equipment would be like playing chess without pawns. Definitely worth the $$ for anyone who wants to play pool the way pool should be played. 5/5

These Aramith Premium balls are absolutely beautiful! I’m not a professional, just a great lover of the game and play about a half hour a day 4-5 days a week in my rec room. The balls I had were over 20 years old and showed it. Sadly, I couldn’t find a close enough retailer that sold Aramith balls and was very skeptical about ordering anything related to Billiards and Pool Table products based on the number of complaints found on the internet (e.g., Amazon website). Apparently some 3rd party vendors using Amazon would occasionally switch out items with used or damaged goods and I assume likely figured the buyer wouldn’t know the difference or didn’t want to deal with the hassle of returns. That’s why I went with PoolDawg. Their reputation for selling only quality products and the terrific service they provide are the reasons I will use them in the future and strongly recommend others to give them a try or at least contact them if you have any questions.

An excellent choice if you
An excellent choice if you are looking for a sharp-looking, durable, consistent set of high-quality phenolic resin pool balls, but not willing to pay at least twice the price for a set of Super Aramith Pro or Brunswick Centennial balls. The Aramith Premium have a high-gloss clear outer surface very similiar to the Super Aramith Pro set. The Premium formula may not be as wear resistant as Super Aramith, but it is certainly a good step up from the Premium. This set uses the classic color scheme with engraved and filled (not printed) numbers that are thin but clear. Sharp-looking and wear-resistant, they may not be the latest and greatest of Saluc’s technology, but they are a noticable improvement over the Aramith Premier set…which is still far superior to any Acrylic set. Each of the balls in the set meet WPA specifications for size and weight. Though they run a bit on the heavy size, they are still well under the WPA 6oz/170g maximum weight averaging 5.84oz/166g with a suprising amount of consistency. The diameters of the balls were slightly wide but still inside of the WPA diameter maximum of 2.255in/57.277mm with an average of 2.2518in/57.20mm. Once again, the consistency was impressive. So how do they play? Almost identically to the Super Aramith set. They feel solid, they play consistant, and they do not let you blame the equipment for missing your shots or position. Maintenance is also comparable to the Super Aramith set. A little bit of Aramith Billiard Ball Cleaner, a little bit of elbow grease and a buffing with a microfiber cloth and they look outstanding and play smooth. So unless you are dead-set on playing with the latest tournament balls with a modern color scheme, this set is certainly a solid compromise between their lower price and high quality and playability.

Honestly, the balls are excellent. To start they came on time and in a closed package and were obviously new and pristine (I mention this because some people who order from other sites said otherwise). They have been fantastic to use. I’m a regular player and play at pool halls, bars and on friends tables. So, I’ve used a many balls and the good ones really stand out. These balls are great, the way they move, their weight and balance just make the roll so effortless. Solid sound on the break and they spread out real nice too. I’m a decent player and wish I was better, one thing I can’t blame my mistakes on any more are the balls, these are tight. I highly endorse them.

You get what you pay for
This is my first set of quality billiard balls and I have no regrets. I recently replaced the felt on an old slate pool table and did not want to mess up my new felt with the old cheap billiard balls I had been playing with. These are extremely shiny and lovely. They feel like quality and play very consistently. Everyone that has played a game with them noticed the difference.

Worth the money
A few years ago I bought a very nice eight foot pocket table and the company I bought from threw in a set of balls, some ‘house’ cues, and a wall rack. I didn’t pay much attention to the balls because, after all, a pool ball is just a pool ball, right? Wrong. The set that came with the table where decent enough, but every once in a while, a soft shot would result in a noticeable ‘wobble.’ I decided that what my balls needed were a good cleaning. What I found was that the numerals on the balls were raised ever so slightly, just enough to feel it with my fingers. One the premise that solid stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good, I shelled out the money for this set of Aramith Premium balls. Friends and neighbors, I assure you it was worth the expense. I realize now that some on my more narrow misses were because of the cheap quality of the balls I had been playing with. Do yourself a favor and spend the money on this ball set. You won’t regret it.

Senior Center Upgrade
We just had our 2 9 foot Olhausen tables redone with Simonis 860 HR cloth. We realized new balls were a must and the Arimith Premium would be a great upgrade. Upon measuring our old balls some were as much as . 03 different in diameter. The Arimirth balls were spot on + or -. 001 No complaints.

Pool Balls for Alex
I bought these for my son’s birthday. They had to be professionally rated for tournament play. A u-tube video showed the exact balls I bought. He had a chart measuring each ball for diameter and weight. They all met the diameter and weight requirements. He said that these balls are an excellent mid -range price. My son’s pool team won the National Championship in 10-Ball Pool in 2024. He loves everything I get from Pool Dawg.
