Description
Black stained maple runs through the forearm and butt sleeve on the KAT2505, each section split by triple brass rings above a black Irish linen wrap. A Uni-Loc joint connects the two halves with a black collar and stainless steel pin, and a stainless steel butt plate etched with the Katana logo sits at the bottom of the handle. The bumper is threaded rubber and ready for an extension, and the cue sits at 1.4 lb with a weight bolt built in for adjustment.
Pick up the KAT2505 after it’s been sitting for months and the 29-inch carbon fiber shaft plays like it did the day it left the rack. There’s no grain running through it to develop a soft spot or a slight bend, so the flex you feel on a hard break is the same flex you’ll feel a year from now. The shaft carries a 7-12 pro taper, its own etched Katana logo, and a 12.5mm layered tip. Protectors for the joint come along with it, under a limited manufacturer warranty.
