Viking Bedlam Cues

Bedlam is Viking's current curly-maple series, built around bold stain finishes and premium pearl inlay sets on a double-pressed Irish linen wrap. It has its own page in Viking's site navigation and is an actively sold line, though none of our ten units are filed into a subcategory yet. It suits a player who wants a striking design cue at a lower Viking price point.

Quarter King Billiards is an authorized Viking dealer. Free shipping on orders over $98 (contiguous US) and 30-day returns. Every spec on this page is checked against the manufacturer's published data by our Wilmington, NC store team.

About Viking Bedlam Cues

What sets the Bedlam apart

Bedlam is built on a curly maple forearm finished in bold, swirling stains - Viking's own copy describes the line as "powerful swirls of colour that twist and morph in wild and uncontrollable movement." Underneath the stain, the models we checked on Viking's site (BE0108, BE0111, BE0304, BE0307 and BE0308) all pair that maple forearm with a double-pressed Irish linen wrap and brass-and-black (IMA) index rings. The pearl inlay work is where the models differ from each other - Blue Dream, Water Lily, Green Commando, Aqua Fire and Galaxy Shimmer pearl sleeves all appear on different Bedlam SKUs, so the inlay pattern is a per-model choice rather than a series-wide constant.

Who it's for

Bedlam suits an entry-to-mid-level Viking buyer who wants a design-forward, pearl-inlaid cue without stepping up to Impero or Defender pricing. It's a reasonable first "real" cue for someone moving on from a house cue or a low-end starter, and a lower-cost way into Viking's pearl-and-linen build quality.

Specs you can count on

Curly maple forearm, double-pressed Irish linen wrap and brass/black (IMA) index rings are consistent across every Bedlam model we checked directly on Viking's site. Stain colour and pearl inlay pattern vary by SKU, so treat those as per-model choices - check the specific listing rather than assuming a stain colour or inlay pattern carries across the whole series.

How it compares inside the Viking range

Bedlam sits at the entry end of Viking's pearl-inlay maple cues, priced below Impero, Defender and Helix in both our catalogue and on Viking's own site, where equivalent BE-prefixed models run from $499 to $550. It is a current, actively marketed Viking line - it has its own dedicated page in Viking's main site navigation, sitting inside the regular Viking Cues family alongside Kayano, Storm and Twilight - rather than a closeout or legacy series, even though our own stock hasn't yet been sorted into a Bedlam subcategory.

Buying notes

Because pearl inlay pattern and stain colour vary by SKU, pick the specific model whose look you want rather than assuming "Bedlam" describes one fixed appearance. The same range of shaft upgrades available across Viking's in-line cues - ViKORE, V-Pro, Siege carbon fibre and Whyte carbon fibre - is offered on Bedlam as well. Our own ten stocked Bedlam units run from $449.10 up to $620, which brackets the $499-$550 range Viking lists for the equivalent BE-numbered models on its own site; the spread reflects distributor and retail pricing differences rather than a change in specification. Several of the Bedlam models we checked also carry older "Formerly B-number" references on Viking's own product pages (BE0108 was previously B3261/A602, BE0111 was previously B3267/A608), which is worth knowing if you're cross-referencing an older catalogue, a forum post or a review that uses the earlier numbering. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery and shipping is free on orders over $98.

Frequently asked questions about Viking Bedlam Cues

Is Bedlam still an active Viking line or a discontinued one?

Active. Bedlam has its own dedicated page in Viking's current site navigation and sits inside Viking's main Viking Cues family alongside Kayano, Storm and Twilight, so it's a currently marketed series rather than a closeout or legacy run.

Does every Bedlam cue have a linen wrap?

Every Bedlam model we checked directly on Viking's site (BE0108, BE0111, BE0304, BE0307, BE0308) uses a double-pressed Irish linen wrap, paired with a curly maple forearm and brass-and-black index rings on each of those five models.

What's the difference between the pearl inlay patterns?

They're cosmetic and model-specific. Blue Dream, Water Lily, Green Commando, Aqua Fire and Galaxy Shimmer pearl sleeves all appear on different Bedlam SKUs, so check the individual listing for the exact pattern and stain colour that ships on the model you're considering.

Is Bedlam cheaper than Impero or Defender?

Yes, based on both our stocked prices and Viking's own site pricing, Bedlam sits at the lower end of Viking's pearl-inlay maple cue families, generally priced below equivalent Impero and Defender models.

Can I upgrade the shaft on a Bedlam cue?

Yes. Viking offers the same shaft upgrade path across its in-line maple cues - ViKORE, V-Pro, Siege carbon fibre and Whyte carbon fibre - and Bedlam is no exception, since it uses the same configurator system as Viking's other current models.

Why isn't Bedlam listed as its own category on your site yet?

It's a gap on our end, not a signal about the cue itself. Bedlam is a current Viking line with its own page on Viking's site; our own subcategory structure just hasn't caught up yet.
