The Action BW24 Black and White Cue is a Action playing cue sold by Quarter King Billiards. It has a 5/16X18 joint and a 13.00mm classic wood shaft. It is in stock at $224, with free shipping over $98 and 30-day returns.

Description

The BW24 is built around black and grey. The forearm is black with long grey spear points and white diamond accents, and the butt sleeve repeats the pattern with grey points and white diamonds. The collar is black composite with a silver ring, the grip is black Tec-Relon, and the butt plate is black with a silver Action logo.

Underneath are a 29 inch hard rock maple shaft with a 10 to 12 inch pro taper, a 13mm Action 7-layer tip, a 1 inch fiber linen ferrule and a 5/16×18 pin. Weight options are 18, 19, 20 and 21 oz, with a weight bolt in the butt for changing the weight.

On a pro taper the shaft stays nearly straight for its first 10 to 12 inches, which keeps the bridge hand on a consistent diameter. The BW24 has no extension, case or joint protectors with it, and Action covers it with a limited warranty.

Pool cue stick

To be frank, i purchased for my husband’s birthday. He likes the stick but has not been able to use. He shoots pool on a league but due to the covid 19 virus everything has been closed. This is the reason I rated ad a 4. Sew

ROBERT H.

i love this stick! added more weight to it due to i like heavy sticks. its now at a 23 oz. i quickly put a kamui tip on it and playing the best pool i have in a very long time. the ONLY drawback is that the little rubber pieces on the grip start falling off after a while.

Weight & Balance

This cue is offered in WBACT, Yes. A lighter cue is easier to accelerate for a whippy, spin-friendly stroke; a heavier cue plants more solidly and drives the cue ball with less effort. Most players settle between 19 and 20 ounces.

This model takes a weight-bolt system, so the weight and balance point can be tuned after purchase. Adding weight toward the butt moves the balance rearward for a more planted feel; less weight shifts it forward for a livelier stroke. The balance point on a finished cue usually sits about 18 to 19 inches from the butt.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Action BW24 Black and White Cue use?

It uses a 5/16X18 joint. That means any 5/16X18 shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against 5/16X18 before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Action BW24 Black and White Cue?

This cue ships with a 13.00mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Action BW24 Black and White Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Action BW24 Black and White Cue built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is sport wrap. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Action dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Action dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.
