The Dufferin HIRUN3 is a straightforward two-piece cue from the long-running Canadian maker, part of a lineup that has quietly outfitted bar-room and home tables for decades. Dufferin builds to a budget price point without cutting corners on shaft wood, which is why you still see their cues on house racks across North America. A sensible first cue for a new player, a reliable loaner for the home table, or a bar-league backup for anyone who wants Canadian-made simplicity without the custom price.

The Dufferin HIRUN3 Pool Cue is a Dufferin playing cue sold by Quarter King Billiards. It has a classic wood shaft. It lists at $84, with free shipping over $98 and 30-day returns.

Description

The Dufferin HIRUN3 is a two-piece cue from the High Run line, built with a 12.5mm classic wood shaft, a touch thinner than the 13mm shafts used across most of Dufferin’s house-cue range. It comes in a choice of brown or tan finishes, so buyers can pick whichever tone suits the room or match it to an existing cue. Dufferin is a long-established maker of pool cues and billiards gear, and this cue reflects that budget-focused approach: solid wood shaft, no frills, priced for volume rather than a boutique build. At about $80, it is priced with the rest of the High Run line and works well as a first cue for a new player or a loaner for a home table. It is currently in stock in both color options.

Questions about this cue

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Dufferin HIRUN3 Pool Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Dufferin HIRUN3 Pool Cue built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

Is Quarter King an authorized Dufferin dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Dufferin dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.
