Description
Red stained maple laminates the forearm and butt sleeve of the KAT2504, each one broken up by triple brass rings and wrapped below in black Irish linen. The joint is Uni-Loc, black collar to stainless steel pin, and the butt closes out with a stainless steel plate etched with the Katana logo. A threaded rubber bumper waits at the bottom for an extension, and the cue comes in at 1.4 lb with a weight bolt if you want to change that.
Where the KAT2504 saves you effort down the road is the 29-inch carbon fiber shaft, cut to a 7-12 pro taper with its own etched Katana logo and a 12.5mm layered tip on top. Maple shafts need regular conditioning and the occasional trip to get straightened once they start to warp, and most players end up doing that upkeep themselves or paying someone else to. Carbon fiber doesn’t warp and doesn’t need conditioning, so you spend your time playing instead of maintaining the stick. Joint protectors ship with it.
