Description
Chalk up and the 12.7mm layered black tip on the KAT2505 meets a 29 inch carbon core maple shaft cut with a European taper, the kind of setup that keeps the familiar feedback of a wood shaft while a carbon rod underneath adds stiffness and helps it stay straight over time. It’s maple through and through, not full carbon fiber, so the hit stays traditional.
Black stained maple, laminated behind triple brass rings, runs the length of the forearm and butt sleeve, with black Irish linen wrapped in for the grip. A Uni-Loc joint links a black collar to a stainless steel pin, and the butt is finished with a stainless steel plate etched with the Katana logo. The threaded rubber bumper accepts an extension, and weight holds steady at 1.4 lb, adjustable with the weight bolt. Joint protectors come with it, a case does not, and a limited manufacturer warranty applies.
