Description

The Koda KDV14GM pool cue has a gunmetal grey look and a graphic of black skulls and chevrons across its matte painted maple forearm. It is a playing cue for people who prefer a darker, harder-edged design but still want a plain maple shaft and a familiar joint.

The 29 inch hard rock maple shaft uses a pro taper and ends in a 12.5 mm Le Pro tip, a pairing that gives reliable contact and spin. A 10 mm matte black collar leads to the 5/16 x 18 joint, which gives a secure connection to the butt. Extended black double pressed Irish linen, backend loaded, covers the handle, and a black Implex cap with a compression bumper finishes the butt end.

Grey and black are the main colours, with the gunmetal finish kept matte so the black graphics stay easy to read. Weights of 18, 19, 20 and 21 oz are available; select one at checkout. Koda’s warranty runs 10 years and includes warpage, which matters on a wood shaft you plan to keep.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Koda KDV14GM Pool Cue use?

It uses a 5/16X18 joint. That means any 5/16X18 shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against 5/16X18 before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Koda KDV14GM Pool Cue?

This cue ships with a 12.50mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Koda KDV14GM Pool Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Koda KDV14GM Pool Cue built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is linen wrap. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Koda dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Koda dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.
