Description

White is the headline on the Koda KDV40WH pool cue. A crisp white forearm carries a red cobra that winds through tribal graphics, and a smooth matte finish keeps the look modern rather than glossy. The cue is meant for players who want a visible design and a traditional maple shaft in one everyday playing cue.

Control comes from a 29 inch hard rock maple shaft, made from 100% Canadian maple and topped with a 12.5 mm Le Pro tip. The 10 mm collar is matte black, and the 5/16 x 18 joint threads into a butt wrapped in black double pressed Irish linen, listed as backend loaded. A black Implex butt cap and compression bumper complete the cue. At 12.5 mm the tip diameter is a versatile size for all-round play, and the solid maple shaft returns the reliable feedback players expect from a classic cue.

Red and black accents sit on the white base: the cobra is red, while the wrap, butt cap and collar are black. Weights run 18, 19, 20 and 21 oz, with your choice made at the checkout page. The KDV40WH ships with Koda’s 10 year warranty, and that cover extends to warpage.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Koda KDV40WH Pool Cue use?

It uses a 5/16X18 joint. That means any 5/16X18 shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against 5/16X18 before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Koda KDV40WH Pool Cue?

This cue ships with a 12.50mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Koda KDV40WH Pool Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Koda KDV40WH Pool Cue built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is linen wrap. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Koda dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Koda dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.
