The Mezz Sneaky Pete ZZSP03 Cue is a Mezz playing cue sold by Quarter King Billiards. It has a United joint and a 12.50mm classic wood shaft. It lists at $556, with free shipping over $98 and 30-day returns.

Description

Most of Mezz’s Sneaky Pete cues stick to a brown and tan finish, but the ZZSP03 breaks from that with a black, white, and tan combination while keeping the same United joint, 12.50mm classic wood shaft, and wrapless handle as the rest of the series. The extra color makes it a little more noticeable on a rack than a true sneaky pete is meant to be, though the shaft and joint underneath are unchanged from its plainer siblings. That 12.50mm diameter keeps the shaft on the slimmer side, which some players find easier to control through a tight bridge. At about $560, it is priced the same as the ZZSP01 despite the different finish. The ZZSP03 is currently out of stock.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Mezz Sneaky Pete ZZSP03 Cue use?

It uses a United joint. That means any United shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against United before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Mezz Sneaky Pete ZZSP03 Cue?

This cue ships with a 12.50mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Mezz Sneaky Pete ZZSP03 Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Mezz Sneaky Pete ZZSP03 Cue built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is wrapless. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Mezz dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Mezz dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.
