Description

The Pure X HXTCF2 Carbon Fiber Break/Jump Shaft turns your Pure X break or jump cue into a serious rack-splitting machine. Built from a 29-inch carbon fiber composite blank, it is engineered around one job: moving as much of your stroke energy as possible into the cue ball instead of losing it to shaft flex and vibration. The result is a hit that feels solid and quiet in the hands, with the kind of repeatable cue ball control that separates a good break from a lucky one.

Up front you get a 14mm Bakelite phenolic tip backed by a white ferrule. Phenolic is the standard for break and jump work because it barely compresses, so it transfers power almost instantly and holds its shape rack after rack. You are not re-shaping or replacing a tip every few sessions. The 14mm diameter gives you a broad, forgiving contact patch, which helps keep the cue ball on line when you are swinging hard, and it doubles nicely for jump shots when you need to get over a blocker.

The shaft uses the Pure X Turbo-Lock joint, so it drops straight onto Pure X break and jump cues with no adapters and no guesswork. Carbon fiber also means it will not warp, swell, or fuzz up the way a maple break shaft eventually does. Wipe it down and it plays the same in a humid poolroom in July as it does in January.

If you already shoot with a Pure X break or jump cue and you have been thinking about upgrading the business end, this is the straightforward way to do it. Order from Quarter King Billiards and we will get it out to you fast, with real people on the other end of the phone if you have questions about fit.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Pure X HXTCF2 Carbon Fiber Break/Jump Shaft - 14mm use?

It uses a Turbo-Lock joint. That means any Turbo-Lock shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against Turbo-Lock before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Pure X HXTCF2 Carbon Fiber Break/Jump Shaft - 14mm?

This cue ships with a 14.00mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Pure X HXTCF2 Carbon Fiber Break/Jump Shaft - 14mm comes with a Carbon Fiber shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Pure X HXTCF2 Carbon Fiber Break/Jump Shaft - 14mm built for?

It is set up as a break, jump cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

Is Quarter King an authorized PureX dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized PureX dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.
