Multiple tip diameters and joint types are stocked — check your cue’s joint before ordering, or ask us and we’ll match it. Top picks: the Pure X Kielwood CF InFUZED Solid Shaft, alongside the Pure X Kielwood CF InFUZED Solid Shaft.Match the Pin, Not Just the CuePure X sells four distinct shaft constructions separately from complete cues, so an existing cue can be upgraded without replacing it outright.

The HXT Low Deflection Shaft uses a polymer core and a high-tech ferrule; the Kielwood FUZE Shaft is torrified, heat-treated solid maple with no carbon fiber, finished with a Kamui Black tip; the Kielwood Carbon Fiber InFUZED Shaft infuses that same torrified maple with carbon fiber and ships with a Kamui Tan tip and an XTC ferrule; and the Pure Carbon Fiber Shaft is full carbon-fiber construction for players who want to leave wood out of the equation entirely. Each shaft is offered in multiple joint-pin options — Uni-Loc, Radial, Turbo-Loc, and standard threaded pins among them — so the right pin match matters more than the shaft material when shopping for a retrofit. The Kielwood Carbon Fiber InFUZED Shaft is pro-endorsed by Savannah Easton, and like the rest of the Pure X technology line, every shaft carries the same Manufacturer’s Lifetime Guarantee that covers complete HXT cues.
Shafts are joint-specific — match the shaft's joint (3/8x10, Radial, Uni-Loc, 5/16x18, etc.) to your cue's joint. If you tell us your cue, we'll confirm the fit.
Carbon shafts (Revo, Cynergy, Defy) never warp, ignore humidity, and are low-deflection. Quality maple gives the traditional feel many players prefer. Both play great — it comes down to feel and budget.
Most players run 11.75–12.5mm for more spin and precision, or 12.75–13mm for a fuller, more forgiving hit. Break/jump shafts usually run larger.
