Questions about this cue

What joint does the Pure X Kielwood CF InFUZED Solid Shaft use?

It uses a Turbo-Lock, 3/8X10, 5/16X14, 5/16X18, Radial, Uni-Loc joint. That means any Turbo-Lock, 3/8X10, 5/16X14, 5/16X18, Radial, Uni-Loc shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against Turbo-Lock, 3/8X10, 5/16X14, 5/16X18, Radial, Uni-Loc before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Pure X Kielwood CF InFUZED Solid Shaft?

This cue ships with a 12.00mm, 12.50mm, 12.90mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Pure X Kielwood CF InFUZED Solid Shaft comes with a Kielwood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Pure X Kielwood CF InFUZED Solid Shaft built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.
