The Scorpion Carbon Fiber SCO125 Yellow Sneaky Pete is a Scorpion playing cue sold by Quarter King Billiards. It has a Uni-Loc joint and a 12.40mm carbon fiber shaft. It is in stock at $405, with free shipping over $98 and 30-day returns.

Description

The Scorpion SCO125 is a Sneaky Pete finished with a yellow forearm and black points, so it reads like a plain one-piece cue until it is taken apart. The handle is black with no wrap, the butt sleeve is black, and the butt plate is black with a white Scorpion logo.

Its 29 inch carbon fiber shaft is engraved with the Scorpion logo and 12.4. The tip is a 12.4mm 5-layered medium tip, set on a black ferrule. Carbon fiber is a man-made material, so it does not respond to humidity the way a wood shaft can.

A Scorpion quick release joint, Uni-Loc compatible, connects shaft and butt. A threaded bumper makes the cue extension ready, and joint protectors are included. An extension and a case are not. Weights of 18, 19, 20 and 21 oz are available, with a limited warranty.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Scorpion Carbon Fiber SCO125 Yellow Sneaky Pete use?

It uses a Uni-Loc joint. That means any Uni-Loc shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against Uni-Loc before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Scorpion Carbon Fiber SCO125 Yellow Sneaky Pete?

This cue ships with a 12.40mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Scorpion Carbon Fiber SCO125 Yellow Sneaky Pete comes with a Carbon Fiber shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Scorpion Carbon Fiber SCO125 Yellow Sneaky Pete built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

Is Quarter King an authorized Scorpion dealer?
