Description

Where the JAR01 keeps its palette to brown and tan, the Scorpion JAR02 adds red into the mix for more visual contrast on the same basic build. It shares the Inox Quick Release joint and 12.00mm Classic Wood shaft, wrapless from butt to tip. Wood shafts like this one give a slightly softer, more traditional hit than carbon fiber, which is why cues built this way still have a following among players who learned on wood and never switched over. The Inox Quick Release joint keeps assembly consistent, seating the same way every time the cue is broken down between sessions. At about $288, the JAR02 is currently in stock and priced below Scorpion’s carbon fiber sneaky pete models while offering a genuinely different playing feel rather than just a cheaper build.

Weight & Balance

This cue is offered in Katana Weight Bolt, Weight Changeable. A lighter cue is easier to accelerate for a whippy, spin-friendly stroke; a heavier cue plants more solidly and drives the cue ball with less effort. Most players settle between 19 and 20 ounces.

It uses a Inox joint. That means any Inox shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against Inox before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.
