Description

The Scorpion SCO122 Sneaky Pete w/ Blue is a Sneaky Pete playing cue built around the classic Sneaky Pete look – the cue that plays like a tournament weapon while looking like a house cue. It’s a sensible pick for the league regular, the home-table competitor, or any player ready to step up from a starter cue into something that will hold its value over years of play.

At the business end you’ll find a 12.25mm Layered medium tip mounted on a 2cm black ferrule ferrule, a pairing that gives the cue grip on the cue ball without the chalk-heavy maintenance some setups demand. The shaft is 29″ Scorpion Carbon Fiber low-rise pro taper, a profile chosen for a smooth stroke and predictable delivery. The Uni-Loc joint connects shaft to butt with a fast quarter-turn lockup and a rock-solid feel through the hit. The no-wrap handle exposes the underlying forearm material for a clean visual line and a slightly slicker feel preferred by some players. Forearm construction is blue stained teak wood with black points, and black scorpion decal, with the same treatment carried into the butt sleeve for visual continuity.

Scorpion Cues, distributed by Cuestix, packs serious technical features – including their Carbon Fiber low-rise pro taper shaft on select models – into cues priced well below the carbon-fiber cues you’d see in pro shops.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Scorpion SCO122 Sneaky Pete Pool Cue, Blue, No Wrap use?

It uses a Uni-Loc joint. That means any Uni-Loc shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against Uni-Loc before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Scorpion SCO122 Sneaky Pete Pool Cue, Blue, No Wrap?

This cue ships with a 12.25mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Scorpion SCO122 Sneaky Pete Pool Cue, Blue, No Wrap comes with a Carbon Fiber shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Scorpion SCO122 Sneaky Pete Pool Cue, Blue, No Wrap built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is wrapless. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Scorpion dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Scorpion dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.
