The Talon TL26 ditches the wrap for a continuous wood look: a blue-stained maple forearm and butt sleeve with black-and-stone overlay points run uninterrupted from collar to plate. The 12.75mm layered leather tip, 29-inch maple shaft with 8-inch pro taper, and 3/8 x 18 pin give it the solid feel that defines this corner of the Talon line. A 19oz pick for league players who prefer a wrapless grip and want a stained, modern look on the rack.

This model takes a weight-bolt system, so the weight and balance point can be tuned after purchase. Adding weight toward the butt moves the balance rearward for a more planted feel; less weight shifts it forward for a livelier stroke. The balance point on a finished cue usually sits about 18 to 19 inches from the butt.

This cue ships with a 12.75mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.
The Talon TL26 - Blue Stained Tiger Maple w/ Black Points comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.
It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.
