Description

Looking for a green cue that is meant for breaking? The Xcel KS04-25 is a 25 oz Heavy Hitter break cue in green and black, part of the standard KS series in Xcel by Koda’s entry-level lineup. It suits newer players who are adding a dedicated break cue to the case.

Start at the tip: a 13 mm brown leather tip on a 29 inch shaft of 100% hard rock maple, with a 10 mm black glossy collar on the shaft. Shaft and butt connect through a 5/16 x 18 joint. At the other end are a cream Implex butt cap and a compression bumper, so the cue finishes cleanly whether it is standing in a rack or lying on the table.

Green and black make up the colorway, and the wrapless handle uses a simulated wrap in matte green. Choose it if you want a break cue that stands apart from the usual black and brown at the table, with the 25 oz weight already settled.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Xcel KS04-25 Green Heavy Hitter Break Cue - 25oz use?

It uses a 5/16X18 joint. That means any 5/16X18 shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against 5/16X18 before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Xcel KS04-25 Green Heavy Hitter Break Cue - 25oz?

This cue ships with a 13.00mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Xcel KS04-25 Green Heavy Hitter Break Cue - 25oz comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Xcel KS04-25 Green Heavy Hitter Break Cue - 25oz built for?

It is set up as a break cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is wrapless. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Xcel dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Xcel dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.
