The Elite EP42 Cue is a Elite playing cue sold by Quarter King Billiards. It has a 3/8X10 joint and a 13.00mm classic wood shaft. It is in stock at $167, with free shipping over $98 and 30-day returns.

Description

Blue is not a color Elite uses often across this lineup, which makes the EP42 stand out among the mostly wood toned EP series. Underneath the finish it is built the same as its EP siblings, a wrapless 13.00mm shaft in 29 inch AAA grade Canadian hard rock maple joined at 3/8×10, and the joint size lines up with joint protectors sized for other EP cues. At about $167 and in stock now, it is priced identically to the solid red and tan EP cues, so blue buyers are not paying a premium for the less common color choice.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Elite EP42 Cue use?

It uses a 3/8X10 joint. That means any 3/8X10 shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against 3/8X10 before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Elite EP42 Cue?

This cue ships with a 13.00mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Elite EP42 Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Elite EP42 Cue built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is wrapless. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Elite dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Elite dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.

Compatible Shafts

This cue uses a 3/8X10 joint, so these shafts thread straight onto it. Not sure? Send us the cue and we will confirm the fit before you buy.
