The Balabushka GB02 Cue is a Balabushka playing cue sold by Quarter King Billiards. It has a 5/16X14 joint and a 13.00mm classic wood shaft. It is in stock at $942, with free shipping over $98 and 30-day returns.

Description

At about $940, the GB02 is one of the more affordable black and tan cues in the Balabushka GB series, built on a 13mm classic wood shaft and a 5/16×14 joint without the piloted pin used on several other GB models. The linen wrap in black and tan matches the finish found on pricier cues like the GB05 and GB09, so the value here comes from the joint and price point rather than a different look. It is a straightforward option for a player who wants the Balabushka name and the familiar two tone finish without paying mid and upper tier GB prices. George Balabushka’s reputation as a custom cue maker still gives the name weight even on an entry priced model like this one. The GB02 is in stock and available to order.

This cue is offered in WBKAT, Yes. A lighter cue is easier to accelerate for a whippy, spin-friendly stroke; a heavier cue plants more solidly and drives the cue ball with less effort. Most players settle between 19 and 20 ounces.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Balabushka GB02 Cue use?

It uses a 5/16X14 joint. That means any 5/16X14 shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against 5/16X14 before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Balabushka GB02 Cue?

This cue ships with a 13.00mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Balabushka GB02 Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Balabushka GB02 Cue built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is linen wrap. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Balabushka dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Balabushka dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay. Because this one is over $600, a 10% restocking fee applies to the return.

Compatible Shafts

This cue uses a 5/16X14 joint, so these shafts thread straight onto it. Not sure? Send us the cue and we will confirm the fit before you buy.
