Description

While the colors used in the Action Exotics 109 cue are simple, the effect is striking. Cherry wood covers the forearm and peeks out of the sleeve, while black and white overlay points and window designs beg to be noticed. Beauty aside, there is nothing simple about the performance of this cue. The wood-to-wood joint provides a compact, solid hit, which is attractive to a wide range of players.
Best of all, this cue incorporates high quality materials and craftsmanship at an affordable price. Satisfaction is guaranteed with all Action Exotics cues.

Quality cue good value.

I must admit, purchased this for our son who just became interested in pool at college. He’s very happy with the quality and his game has become more consistent using the same cue stick all the time. He receives comments about the appearance as this is a great looking piece. Terrific beginner pool cue.

Weight & Balance

This cue is offered in WBACT, Yes. A lighter cue is easier to accelerate for a whippy, spin-friendly stroke; a heavier cue plants more solidly and drives the cue ball with less effort. Most players settle between 19 and 20 ounces.

This model takes a weight-bolt system, so the weight and balance point can be tuned after purchase. Adding weight toward the butt moves the balance rearward for a more planted feel; less weight shifts it forward for a livelier stroke. The balance point on a finished cue usually sits about 18 to 19 inches from the butt.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Action ACT109 Exotic Cue use?

It uses a 5/16X18 joint. That means any 5/16X18 shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against 5/16X18 before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Action ACT109 Exotic Cue?

This cue ships with a 13.00mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Action ACT109 Exotic Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Action ACT109 Exotic Cue built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is linen wrap. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Action dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Action dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.
