Description

Action’s ACTBJ07 is a black break/jump cue with a trigger-style jump handle built into the forearm. The forearm and butt sleeve are black-stained maple, and the sleeve carries Action’s Power Taper. There is no wrap on the grip, and an Action plug bumper finishes the butt.

Up front is a 29 inch hard rock maple shaft with a 10 to 12 inch pro taper, a 13.5mm red phenolic tip on a white phenolic pad, and a 5/16 inch black carbon ferrule. The collar is stainless steel with a thin black composite ring, and the cue joins through Action’s quick-release pin. A weight bolt allows the weight to be adjusted.

Break and jump cues can fall outside league equipment rules, so check your league’s rules before using this one in league play. It is sold as a cue only, with no extension, case or joint protectors, and it carries Action’s limited warranty.

Action ACTBJ07 Break Jump Reverse Taper Stick

In my experience, since I received My New Break/Jump Pool cue I have Played in Two Tournaments and have been able to Cash in Both, I attribute that to the Power that is delivered from the Action Break and Jump Stick. Pooldawg has the Right Equipment for anyone from the Novice to The Pro Player if Pooldawg don’t have it Chances are You didn’t need it.

What a differance. I’ve had the top-notch breaks ever.

    Great cue

I must admit, i am really enjoying the BJ07! I was concerned that its heavy weight may slow my break speed and it did. The cue is around 18oz without the weight so I removed the huge bolt from the butt and viola! It’s ideal. I break hard and pocket balls! With regard to the shape of the grip its just right. Somebody should have come up with that design a long time ago. You can hold the butt loosely and still get a superb grip!

    Nice Heavy Breaker

i bought this for myself but being a bigger guy I had to tone down my breaks as I tend to launch the cue ball. My girlfriend however loves it as the heavy weight tends to be ideal for smaller players. I do adore the taper and weight distribution and as a jumper, its a excellent cue.

    Break like a King! Bought

Break like a King! Bought a play shaft too… Taper butt grip is really amazing! Too bad, X5 Extension for action quick release is not available…

    This is a Really Satisfactory

In my experience, this is a Really Good Break/Jump Stick. It hits hard and works like a champ. The reverse taper on the butt really help keep control when breaking.

  12. Amy M. –

    There is a rough spot

I must admit, there is a rough spot on the shaft , other than that I really like the cue.

Great quick service, just as described, quite happy with the purchase and the service.

  15. Taylor D. –

    slightly heavy, but functions very

From my perspective, slightly heavy, but performs really nicely, Really like the reverse grip for tight holding.

  16. Tom J. –

    Highly Recommend!

I have to say, terrific break cue…nicer than thought! I went with the Kamui break tip and am really pleased; pleasant combination of stick and tip.

    I discovered this break/jump by

I discovered this break/jump by accident. I bought this years ago for my son and tried it and sold my Rush. It’s the second one I’ve owned. Take the weight out and you have a solid hitting break pool cue.

Breaks the balls up super properly

I’ve only been playing for a few months and am not that good at all, but this cue allows me and my friends to spread the balls out super nicely. It’s made games much more fun. The weight is definitely noticeable but I honestly think it makes it better and seem more professional (to people who don’t know better. Even with the lack of a grip, I would recommend this cue stick to anyone.

  19. Drew C. –

    Great cue.gives me added confidence

Outstanding cue.gives me added confidence in breaking.

  20. Karen W. –

    Break stick is fantastic

This break cue is a beast. I have to lay up on power compared to my other break cue. Really happy with it. I can jump better with this as effectively

  21. Dan B. –

    Really solid stick. Feels great

Truthfully, really robust stick. Feels amazing breaks really lovely. Weight is perfect. I upgraded the tip which really helps control the position of the ball after breaking with the stick. I have completed any jumps with the cue. Not big on jumping. Valued at the money. The only con I can come up with is on occasions checking the tightness of the joints is needed fr ok m time to time.

  22. Beth M. –

    I like the reverse taper

I like the reverse taper on the butt.. It was a lil heavy @ 26 ounces, So I dropped it to 24.5 and it hits smooth and hard.

  23. Rick T. –

    Worth the Price point

This break/jump pool cue is solid and definitely worth the price. I highly suggest this for someone wanting to improve their game!

  24. Tom S. –

    Amazing Stick!!

In my experience, i’ve been playing on a bar league for about 10 years now and this is by far the top-notch cue stick I have ever used.

  25. Jim T. –

Breaks nice, jump portion is a bit heavy

Cue stick is lovely and breaks effectively. The jump portion feels a bit heavy, but I haven’t had many chances to work with the jump part. There were a few dings in the shaft. More care is needed in handling and packing. Overall I am happy with it. I asked a question about joint protectors for this cue stick and received no response.

  26. Sam B. –

    I was delighted with the

I have to say, i was pleased with the joint construction and the tip provided; however, I was surprised how warped the shaft is. I’m keeping it but now just what I was expecting.

Weight & Balance

This cue is offered in 18, 19, 20, 21, WBACT, Yes. A lighter cue is easier to accelerate for a whippy, spin-friendly stroke; a heavier cue plants more solidly and drives the cue ball with less effort. Most players settle between 19 and 20 ounces.

This model takes a weight-bolt system, so the weight and balance point can be tuned after purchase. Adding weight toward the butt moves the balance rearward for a more planted feel; less weight shifts it forward for a livelier stroke. The balance point on a finished cue usually sits about 18 to 19 inches from the butt.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Action ACTBJ07 Break Cue use?

It uses a Action Quick Release joint. That means any Action Quick Release shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against Action Quick Release before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Action ACTBJ07 Break Cue?

This cue ships with a 13.50mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Action ACTBJ07 Break Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Action ACTBJ07 Break Cue built for?

It is set up as a break cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is wrapless. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Action dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Action dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.
