The Outlaw OL09 Cue is a Outlaw playing cue sold by Quarter King Billiards. It has a 5/16X18 Piloted joint and a 13.00mm classic wood shaft. It is in stock at $269, with free shipping over $98 and 30-day returns.

Description

The Outlaw OL09 is a playing cue with a hand branded look. Both the forearm and the butt sleeve are brown stained maple carrying a 45 Chamber design that is branded by hand with a blowtorch, and the grip is brown stacked leather. A stainless steel collar, a stainless steel butt plate with an etched Outlaw logo and a black rubber bumper complete the build.

The tip is 13mm and 7-layered, on a 1 inch fiber linen ferrule. The shaft is 29 inch hard rock maple with a 10 to 12 inch pro taper and a brass insert. It joins the butt with a piloted 5/16 x 18 pin, and the pilot is the smooth, unthreaded lead on the pin that helps the shaft line up as it goes on.

Four weights are available, 18, 19, 20 and 21 oz, and a weight bolt allows changing the weight. Joint protectors, an extension and a case are not included. The manufacturer warranty is 1 year.

  1. Rick C. –

    fantastic first cue

Truthfully, the first good stick I’ve owned and it improved my avg. by a whole 2.4 in my league. The torch work really gives these cues a unique and radical look. I personally don’t like linen wraps so when I first played with the leather saddle bag wrap it was heaven for my hand. I would absolutely vouch for this or any other outlaw stick!

  2. Tom P. –

    OLO9 Pool Pool cue

Truthfully, i received this cue stick Monday, Dec. 10th and have only had the time to shoot with it on two occasions. I feel that it’s going to take a couple more outings to contact a comfort zone to where I can shoot my A game with it. I do like the cue.

  3. Jim H. –

    great stick

    great stick No complaints.

  4. Jim J. –

    Nice cue, was kinda nervous

Nice stick, was kinda nervous buying one without holding it to see how it feels but like what I got for the value. Already helped my game. Like the leather wrap too.

  5. Sarah L. –

    Adore the design

In my experience, outstanding looking pool cue definitely a good deal the money for an intermediate level player

  6. Mike T. –

    Just what I expected

It’s a good cue, straight and simple.

Weight & Balance

This cue is offered in WBOL, Yes. A lighter cue is easier to accelerate for a whippy, spin-friendly stroke; a heavier cue plants more solidly and drives the cue ball with less effort. Most players settle between 19 and 20 ounces.

This model takes a weight-bolt system, so the weight and balance point can be tuned after purchase. Adding weight toward the butt moves the balance rearward for a more planted feel; less weight shifts it forward for a livelier stroke. The balance point on a finished cue usually sits about 18 to 19 inches from the butt.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Outlaw OL09 Cue use?

It uses a 5/16X18 Piloted joint. That means any 5/16X18 Piloted shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against 5/16X18 Piloted before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Outlaw OL09 Cue?

This cue ships with a 13.00mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Outlaw OL09 Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Outlaw OL09 Cue built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is stacked leather. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Outlaw dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Outlaw dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.

Compatible Shafts

This cue uses a 5/16X18 Piloted joint, so these shafts thread straight onto it. Not sure? Send us the cue and we will confirm the fit before you buy.
