Description

Blue-stained maple makes the Pechauer JP2513 easy to spot. Ivory-colored inlays framed in ebony-toned material decorate the forearm and the butt sleeve, blue pearl points add a second accent, and the grip is unstained maple with no linen or leather wrap. The butt plate is white with the Pechauer logo, and the collar is a dashed ring.

The build is a 29-inch hard rock maple shaft with a 10-12 inch Pro Taper, a 12.75mm Pechauer Jade Medium tip and a 5/8 inch Juma ferrule. A Pechauer Speed Joint and a black rubber bumper complete the hardware.

Weight is changeable via the WBPEC weight bolt, and Pechauer’s standard weight for this model is 19 oz. The cue is made in the USA with a lifetime warranty and does not include an extension, case or joint protectors. Pechauer’s own model name for it is JP13-T.

Weight & Balance

This model takes a weight-bolt system, so the weight and balance point can be tuned after purchase. Adding weight toward the butt moves the balance rearward for a more planted feel; less weight shifts it forward for a livelier stroke. The balance point on a finished cue usually sits about 18 to 19 inches from the butt.

The Pechauer JP2513 JP Series Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.
