The Talon TL13 runs a 12.75mm layered leather tip on a 29-inch pro taper maple shaft, anchored by a 5/16 x 18 piloted pin and Talon’s threaded bumper. Visually, the black forearm with double white and maple points and the maple-accented butt sleeve give it a warm, traditional look that stands out without shouting. At ~19oz, it’s a good fit for players who want a clean, classically built points cue for league nights and casual tournament play. A reliable mid-tier choice for the player ready to commit to their own stick.

Questions about this cue
What joint does the Talon TL13 Cue use?
It uses a 5/16X18 Piloted joint. That means any 5/16X18 Piloted shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against 5/16X18 Piloted before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.
What shaft diameter is the Talon TL13 Cue?
This cue ships with a 12.75mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.
Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?
The Talon TL13 Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.
What is the Talon TL13 Cue built for?
It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.
What kind of grip does it have?
The grip is linen wrap. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.
Is Quarter King an authorized Talon dealer?
Yes. We are an authorized Talon dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.
How fast does it ship, and can I return it?
