The Talon TL14 features a grey-stained forearm and butt sleeve with multi-colored elongated points and a wrapless build, giving it a continuous, eye-catching look without the typical Irish linen grip. The 12.75mm layered leather tip and 29-inch pro taper maple shaft keep the playing experience aligned with the rest of the Talon mid-tier, with the 5/16 x 18 piloted pin holding the joint snug. A ~19oz cue for league regulars who want a distinctive points-heavy design and prefer a wrapless feel through the grip area.

Weight & Balance
This model takes a weight-bolt system, so the weight and balance point can be tuned after purchase. Adding weight toward the butt moves the balance rearward for a more planted feel; less weight shifts it forward for a livelier stroke. The balance point on a finished cue usually sits about 18 to 19 inches from the butt.

Questions about this cue
What joint does the Talon TL14 Cue use?
It uses a 5/16X18 Piloted joint. That means any 5/16X18 Piloted shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against 5/16X18 Piloted before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.
What shaft diameter is the Talon TL14 Cue?
This cue ships with a 12.75mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.
Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?
The Talon TL14 Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.
What is the Talon TL14 Cue built for?
It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.
