Description

The Voodoo VOD40 pairs black with tan, giving the Bone series a two-tone option alongside the solid tan finish also offered in the line. It shares the family’s core build: a 29-inch, 13.00mm hard rock maple shaft, a 10 to 12 inch pro taper, a brass insert, a leather wrap, and a piloted 5/16×18 joint. Laser-etched skull and tattoo artwork rounds out the design, consistent with the rest of the Voodoo catalog. At about $270, it is priced with most of the line rather than at the lower end. The VOD40 is currently in stock.

Weight & Balance

This cue is offered in WBOL, Yes. A lighter cue is easier to accelerate for a whippy, spin-friendly stroke; a heavier cue plants more solidly and drives the cue ball with less effort. Most players settle between 19 and 20 ounces.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Voodoo VOD40 Cue use?

It uses a Piloted 5/16 x 18 joint. That means any Piloted 5/16 x 18 shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against Piloted 5/16 x 18 before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Voodoo VOD40 Cue?

This cue ships with a 29" hard rock maple, 10 - 12" pro taper with a brass insert shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Voodoo VOD40 Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Voodoo VOD40 Cue built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

Is Quarter King an authorized Voodoo dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Voodoo dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.
